What games from this generation do you think you'll still be replaying in 10 years?

I was thinking about this earlier. There are tons of games I still play from time to time from 7-15 years ago, with a few favourites being Deus Ex, Thief 1&2, System Shock 2, the original Fallouts, Homeworld, Raven Shield, Silent Hill 2, Morrowind... and many more.

However, it doesn't seem that there will be too many from this past generation (let's say 2006-present), when I stop to think about it. I don't even have much of a desire to replay them now, and would prefer to stick to older games. The STALKER series is a favourite, and Demon's/Dark Souls and Valkyria Chronicles are unique enough and awesome enough that they'll be part of the rotation. I'll probably keep playing through the MGS series, and that includes MGS4 from this generation. After that... I'm out.

What about you? What will stand the test of time for you?

I might pick up Lost Odyssey again. Besides that? Nothing really.

Some people might still be playing Minecraft or Halo or Street Fighter.

For me, it'll probably be the two Elder Scroll titles for the 360, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the Guitar Hero games. There's a chance that I'll also mess around with Pokemon and other DS/3DS titles in the years to come.

I'm actually in still catching up with the past. I'm on a first-run of Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Dragon Quest VIII and, Symphony of the Night. I'm late, I know...As for older games that I've beaten and still played: Final Fantasy IV and, VII-IX. I need to give X another chance and try XII in general.

Uncharted series
Batman Arkham series
Mass Effect series
Skyrim
RDR

There is probably more I can't think of atm. But I have 10 games there already.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the only real possibility I see in my case...Wait, is Mount and Blade Warband new enough to count? If so, that too. Not much else though. Mass Effect maybe, but I haven't replayed either of those much; they were fun the first time through, the second I knew it all and just ended up getting bored about half way through after I got all the goodies and experimented with most of the features of the different classes.

Dwarf Fortress, maybe. By then it may well be in beta. Otherwise, the Megaman Zero series seems like it would hold up nostalgically. Minecraft, if it doesn't get overthrown in it's own genre.

I would really much love to have Portal 1 and 2 on this list aswell, but they are only worth 1 playthrough sadly. :(
I think if you like them enough, they'd be worth a playthrough once every 5 years or so. Surely you'd forget most of the puzzles by then.

Also, to add to my list, I think Siren might be one. It's not a brilliant game, but it is survival horror in the style I like. And in first person mode, it's terrifying. Unless things pick up in said genre, there won't be enough survival horror games around for me to not replay it.

Not sure about other games, but Civilization 5 I'm sure I will be replaying within a decade. I even dabble in Civ 4 from time to time.

all three Dragon Ages
Siren Bloodcurse
Kane & Lynch: Dog Days
AMY (Not because I like it, but because I will not let this shit beat me, no matter how long it takes.)
