Dead Space. Despite having not played or even seen gameplay, my friend thought it was boring. A while after that, I got him to sit down and play it... I'm pretty sure he gave up before running into his first necromorph... or maybe it was after it. Don't know, been to long since then.

my friend thinks Minecraft looks pretty stupid, but hes the cool kind of guy that would think otherwise if i started to play it, myself. he knows im a huge gamer and that if im playing something, it means to him that it has some sort of quality.

I have another friend that would make fun of both 360 and PS3 and would say that his Wii was better.
Was he later admitted to hospital for serious brain malfunctions?

But my friend ripped on portal because he believed it was like COD because it was FPS

One of my friend insulted Halo 3 and another one of my friends insulted minecraft because the graphics "suck", and both of them have never played either of the games.

I've had my friend rag on me for Blazblue, saying it'll never compare to Street Fighter and Marvel Vs Capcom 3. I then asked what they thought of Capcom, where's their Ace Attorney Investigations 2, how's that Megaman Legends 3, and how many times they had to shell out $40+ for every rebalance and roster addition on a new shiny disc.

Considering I'm the only one of out my group that likes Nintendo...

They insult games I play rather often... xD. However, it's never really in a mean spirited way.

"Donkey Kong Country Returns... can't Nintendo think of anything original?"- A friend

"Have you played this or any other Donkey Kong Country games? Probably not..." - Me

I mostly get stuff like that.

I continually tell my friends that OoT was so far ahead of its time and remains one of the best games ever made.

My friends have never played OoT and when I made them play it they couldnt get past the Deku Tree...lol. My friend was so surprised that lighting a deku stick on fire and running it into a spider web burns the web hahaha.

Other games include Mass Effect 1 and 2, KOTOR and other Bioware games. They just don't get RPGs

The Uncharted series. Because they're part of the glorious PC-gaming race whoi insist PC games are far better than my paltry PS3, simply because Skyrim looks a little better than Uncharted 3.

CRUSH THE HEATHEN!

OP: In regards to portal 2

"Why are you playing that? It's just a silly little puzzle game. There is no story to it at all and you could finish it in your sleep. Play something deep and challenging like Black ops."

I am dead serious.

i know some people, who will diss every good game, that exist as long as it doesn't have crysis rating of graphics.

Do card games count? If so, than Magic: The Gathering.

My friends to have also insulted Minecraft solely on the graphics alone. They were saying that there's too much creativity and not good enough graphics. Which is BULLSHIT. But another friend of mine said he preferred the world building alpha to the scarcity based beta. Which is a better argument in my opinion.

Half-Life 2 and .hack

WAI U HAET ON LEGENDS :C:C:CCCCC

Basically they said they were baby games. Apparently games that don't have profanity every 4 seconds are for children.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. Everyone knows it sucks, but I don't know anyone who has actually played it.

A friend of mine, who usually listens to my recommendations, just doesn't want to give Red Dead Redemption a chance. He says he doesn't think he will enjoy the game after the novelty of playing as a cowboy wears off.

I myself only got around to paying RDR in February so I was also a long-time skeptic myself, but after playing it I thought the game was incredible. I told my friend that I was once in his position and that at worst, the gunplay is a bit easy/repetitive and the game starts off slow, but you'll be willing to overlook that given how well written the story and characters are.

I think I'm slowly starting to change his mind, since I've recently gotten points for recommending him games like Saints Row 2 and Arkham Asylum.
