#1 of all time for me is probably NIER. That game is amazing in every aspect.

Zelda games and Final Fantasy games are the games that consistently get to me, I'm a sucker for them. Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, Enslaved, Dead Space 1&2, Gears of War 3 (dom, 4ever a bro) are some others that come to mind. This new Counter-strike gave me nostalgia tears, but that's a different category.

Off the top of my head?

Mass Effect 3 and Bioshock 1's good ending.

That was the most satisfying ending I could ever get out of a game that made me feel this sense of calm. And ME3 had me crying like a baby at the obvious parts.

Another one adding Lost Odyssey to the list. I cried within about 10 minutes of that game. It was the first memory that set me off. What a truly beautiful game.

As the final fantasy fan girl I've cried at... well pretty much all of them. The most tears was obviously when 'you know who' got poked with a sword in FF7 and second to that was the heroes demise in Crisis Core. I cried bucket loads over Zack. I was so in love with his story <3

I still get teary-eyed when I hear Aeris's theme, and I openly cry if I watch the cutscene. Omg the smirk on Sephiroth's face is just chilling, and then her eyes close.. and then the music starts....

and I'm crying just thinking about it.

Ah don't you'll get me going lol! It's when the heartbeat starts... and it's like your OWN breathing stops as you're thinking "Did he seriously just do that...?"

The sad thing is that under different circumstances Ashley (the main character) and Sydney might have been friends.

I'm going to be yet another person to mention Katawa Shoujo. I've never cried at a game, but that shit got me closer than anything else. Particularly Lilly's route, though in hindsight I think that the climax of Emi's good ending is the most powerful part of any game I've ever played.

I've never cried at a game...and I am really not lying there when I cry at something i'll admit to it but games generally don't have very good stories...maybe...Clannad? I know it was a game before an anime but I have only ever saw the anime and I cried at that but never on a proper game no.

Somebody already mentioned the Metal Gear Solid and Mass Effect games and I have to agree with them. I also heard Mother 3 is one of the most depressing games ever made.

The second from last cutscene in Okami where Issun convinces everyone to pray to Amaterasu to return her true powers, although that was more the music I think.

Also, the ending of Professor Layton and the Lost Future. I think that's genuinely the saddest video game ending I've ever played.
