What Games of 2012 are you looking forward to?

Mostly hoping for GOOD 3DS titles of the not-just-Mario-and-Zelda variety.

If not that, then maybe Torchlight 2, and huge tentative "MAYBE" for Heart of the Swarm.

Mass Effect 3: I swear though, it better be an actual conclusion to the trilogy- none of the Mass Effect 2 padding (Really, what was added into Mass Effect 2 that actually impacted the whole Reaver main story arc?) or a cliffhanger (Halo 3...).

Oh well, it's still going to be amazing regardless...

Diablo 3, hopefully it works on a crappy laptop though...

I've been wishing this the entire time since I've bought Shogun II.

This, as well as Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

I'm also being very cautious with Borderlands 2. On one hand, I love the original and don't want to abandon it for the sequel, and I can't think of any improvements that won't feel like DLC, but on the other hand, more loot.

I'm looking forward to the new Tomb Raider, because the new change in direction seems very intriguing.

Same here. Before, aesthetic-wise, I was afraid of what Square Enix were going to do to her but now, I'm over the moon with her new look.

I'm also rather curious about Bioshock: Infinite. It's very different now.

Mass Effect 3 is the only thing I'm quite sure I'll be buying. Even if just turns into Gears of War with dialogue trees... I should probably finish off the story.

Games that will probably kick ass:
- Dishonored (I've loved the rest of the developer's work)
- The Last Guardian (Can't go wrong with Team Ico)

Games that should be good enough to buy at some point:
- Metro: Last Light
- Bioshock Infinite
- Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
- Tomb Raider (I for one really enjoy the series for what it is. I own most of them)

Games I'm hoping will be good but don't expect them to be:
- Silent Hill: Downpour (We need the Japanese to take over again. I miss classic Silent Hill.)
- Hitman: Absolution (I think they'll turn it into a cover-based third person shooter)
- Max Payne 3 (I'm skeptical of all of the changes to the development)
- Far Cry 3 (I'd love an entire game that's like the first half of Crysis, but I didn't like Far Cry 2 all that much)

I was excited for Prey 2 after that amazing trailer, but after seeing a bit of gameplay I'm gonna hold off and wait to see what the full package has to offer.

Bioshock Infinite is up there, and I guess I'm curious for Mass Effect 3, purely because I want to see how the story ends for my character that I've had throughout the years.

I am curious for the new CoD game (hear me out), because unless they want to ultimately doom the series, they have to try something original. I'm thinking that we may see a future version of CoD this year.



Oh, and the Skyrim DLC. That counts dammit.

Edit: Wow, I forgot about a few here.

Hitman Blood Money looks pretty damn good.

Metro 2033; Last Light, looks interesting. I never played the first game, but I read the books and saw enough Playthroughs to know that this game has some potential.

Dishonoured looks original and interesting, so be on the look out for that.

personally, i thought RotS was a bit weaksauce. here's hoping FotS will be everything i need to reenact Tom Cruise's final charge in the Last Samurai (which is all i have ever wanted)

also, the Sekigahara mod should release today or tomorrow. that will hold me till March!
