Half Life I would read, but It would not directly follow Freeman but the other events within the Half Life Universe

This. It'd be neat to see a novelization of Opposing Force. Either through Sheppard's eyes, or the marines set before him.

Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid. Oh what, Devil May Cry was a manga, and I did once see a MGS book. I'm not going to count the MGS book because it wasn't really a book.

A think a specific plot from Oblivion, such as Nights of the Nine, or one of the quests. Also Prince of Persia and Assassins Creed.

The Prince of Persia trilogy would be a good read. It would be hard to write about all the free running acrobatic battles though.
Ditto'd.

Shapsters; Assassin's Creed was meant to be novelized, in fact they had it down as a trilogy for some time but the project was scrapped. Also it was supposed to be released as a comic (or graphic novel, whatever the crap you want to call them). It was, but only a few copies were preinted 'cause I guess the producers didn't like it or something...This makes me sad. I think someone should revive the novel project.

and just for the sake of it, I'ma say Metroid Prime trilogy and Zelda: Twilight Princess

Zelda games could work if someone gave an interesting characterization to the mute Link. Some of them, if real people, would have serious issues (MENTAL ISSUES! O.0)

Devil May Cry maybe. Doubt any video game book writer could do a good job of much anyways.

FF8 would be easiest. There is less dungeon crawling and more actual events that alter the plot. No one wants to read about dungeons and usually games have a lot of killie killie, which is unproductive in books.

Prince of Persia would be very, very hard and would probably suck as a book. Free-running = a bad formula for a book.

I agree with Darkness62, Mirror's Edge should be a book. I like the story anyway, but since a lot of people think it doesn't explain enough, the book format would help as books are probably the most descriptive medium there is. Far more so than games and films, which is why all films of books suck, since they literally cannot fit in everything from the book.

Final Fantasy 4. The story was great, but the rest of the game sucked. I was gonna say Earthbound, but then I remembered that it was the quirky humor was built into every facet of the game itself that really sold it for me, not story itself. Other than that, I can't say that there are any game-books I'd want to read. Partly because I've never really cared for books, but also because I never really cared for the stories in games either. They're okay as short breaks between the action, but otherwise I just ignore them.
