Tetris. Imagine what could be done with current physics cards and graphic capabilities! I kid, I kid.

Chrono Trigger and Zork, although some of Zork's appeal was, in my opinion, in the text part of the game. Unless they made it like Myst where you only get one view of a particular area and can't control your character beyond "Go West."

I would love to see Megaman 1-3 with new graphics, done in a good way, not like all the craptastic games being pumped out these days with the name "Megaman" slapped on it.

T'ai Fu : Wrath of the Tiger

The concept is similar to Samurai Jack but it was hampered by early PSOne graphics and a not-so-great control system (before they brought out the dual analogue controllers). I think with updated graphics and revamped controls it could work a lot better.

Well I'd like it updated.

I think the ZX series is actually quite good, but each to their own I suppose.

I'd probably choose either the original Metal Gear for the MSX to be remade with todays visuals and gameplay or Kid Chameleon for the Megadrive/Genesis. I'd be a happy chappy with either.

FF7. I'd just like to see it with the same story but new gen graphics. I know that's awefully vain of me, but oh well.
The fact that SE hasn't gone and done that still, is the only thing that makes me think the company isn't yet all about making cheap money.

Let's face it, direct remakes are lazy ways to make a whole lot of money from nostalgaic fans, and an FFVII remake would be the king of this theory. So the fact that SE hasn't had any plans to do so, means they have a little dignity left.

I would like to see Rogue or Dungeon Crawl made into 3d games, with physics and awesome graphics and such, with the option to play it like a FPSRPG type thing or with a third-person/overhead view and played like the classic games. With the original games packed in as a bonus, also. I would play those games for many, many hours.

personally i think a direct remake would be good for a game that has been heralded for so long as one of the best games ever made

that way it won't piss off any of the fans

although i personally despise SE for screwing with FF7 by making all of these remakes and so-called prequels and sequels that don't even follow the original storyline

but enough ranting
i would probably pick the original Devil May Cry just as long as they kept Dante's voice at the octave it was originally intended to be (i know 3 was a prequel but 4 was supposed to be after 1 and for some reason him having almost the same exact voice really pissed me off)

Dynamite Headdy without the absolutely ridiculous difficulty.

EDIT: I would also find it awesome if they found a way to make the original Super Smash Bros. work on the DS. That would make any car trip much more entertaining. It wouldn't even need to really implement the touch screen, that could just be used to display damage and whatnot (and also the occasional borrowing of a life).

Parasite Eve, but not PE2. Originally marketed as a cinematic RPG, it was a hell of a good game for it's time. Now that they're making part 3, which will only see the light of day on Japanese cell phones, I think it's time we got a next gen remake to update the graphics and amazing soundtrack. I just wish they changed the ending so the boss couldn't still one-hit kill you after you'd gone and beaten all its forms.

I'm gonna say Legend of Zelda: OoT just to see what it could be with the latest graphics.

I thought when I played it "back in the day" it was freakin amazing looking. Too bad so short...although the Chrysler Building was kinda fun/annoying at times. I never did get into the 2nd one though...

the very first command and conquer, keep the same exact story, MAYBE add a little more, but remake all of the levels and gameplay with the same engine in C&C3 and RA3

The entire Marathon series. Deus Ex games. System Shock games. Homeworld 1 (and maybe 2, but it's not really old).

Team Buddies, its for PS1 (doubtful anybody has played it considering there weren?t many copies)

Or an online feature for the original game considering I would like to fight someone that at least puts up a fight rather than effortlessly beating the AI in all modes.

Perhaps I?m wrong, but I would love a good remake of it.
