Yeah the first Halo was a masterpiece, then there were the other 2 which didn't work for me.

I would say the perfect example of stupid sequels is Perfect Dark because the first one is perfect. I don't even know why the brought out another, it was flipping terrible!

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars was nowhere near as good as Command & Conquer: Generals, NOWHERE BLOODY NEAR! You think they would learn of their previous mistakes.

I have to agree about FF7, i mean advent children had little to no relevance to FF7, whilst Crisis Core made my mind up for me, dam them! I made up my own story for what happened and they spoilt it

agreed with the ff7 spin offs even though ff:ac was good fun it was completly shallow and %100 fan service and should never be considered canon
never wanted a sequel or prequel I have always been open to the idea of a remake with everything being exactly the same apart from updated graphics .... and maybe voices if they can get Mr.T/B.A.Baracus to do the voice of barret but i think i would still prefer it without dialogue and only text

May I mention Loz Windwaker? While the change of graphic style from Oot/MM bothered me the storyline was exellent IMO. Then Phourglass rams worse sailing and stealth down my throat.

Going to jump on the Yahtzee bandwagon here and go with Prince of Persia. Warrior Within was soooo awful compared to Sands of Time. Though admittedly they did manage to patch it up a bit for Two Thrones.

In what way was C&C3 worse than Generals?
Hell, it was a spiritual sequel at best, being only a true sequel to the Tiberium Series.

I don't think anyone but me remembers this game. But monster rancher was a god amoung game when it came out. Sure it dids get much sales but it was awsome. Then they sequeled the crap out of it. Now it's a chore to play it. It makes me despare.

If expansions count, then my vote goes to Dawn of War: Soulstorm. The original was good, Winter Assault was quite interesting, Dark Crusade was epic...and then Soulstorm? Le sigh.

Black & White 2. B&W was easially my faviourt RTS. But B&W2 was just a massive shit stain, one that has been left apoun my brain, and has teached me to never trust EA. That is until Spore...Oh god, when will I learn!!

Red Faction 2. Red Faction 1 still sits in my best FPS's list for it's destructible environments, sympathetic characters and a real sense of progression. Red Faction 2 came and fucked it all up. Oh sure it had destructible environments but the characters were annoying jerks and the progession felt stilted and boring. The difficulty was insanely ramped up too. I hope Guerilla saves the franchise.

Lufia 2 was a horrible prequel; BETTER ART but that's all.

Here's an idea... Lets take a pretty good game and and make a sequel that is totally different and completely un-playable!

I don't know what game you purchased, but Lufia 2 was absolutely beautiful and many say the exact opposite than what you have - that it was much better than the first game. I beat it twice without any issues.
