On a basis of pure ownage, once you get him maxed out, I think that Lu Bu (from Dynasty Warriors) is the most awesome gaming character. Either him or Raziel from Soul Reaver.

But, I wanna know your opinions...

Nathan Hale (R1 version)

Because most characters who open their mouth nowadays except for the well made games just piss me off, i enjoy Nathan because A/ he is badass and B/ he kept his mouth shut for most of the game and did what he does best kick ass

Kratos for obvious reasons too

EDIT: Conker is very cool too... but it's mostly the world around him that is completely fucked up when I think about it.

Travis Touchdown - a bizarre synthesis of player stand-in and established character, he represents the gamer demographic as a whole, being both an insulting caricature and a wish-fulfilling homage to the player. That, and he does some pretty badass things in a charmingly dorky way.
