2011 is going to be a tremendous year for gaming with "Big Name" titles like Gears of War 3, Skyward Sword, LA Noire and about 15 other titles I didn't mention. Since games are around $60 a pop I wanted to know what you guys plan on buying this year and what you are going to put off to buy later. I know most people wait for review scores before making purchases but I want to know what games you guys are most excited for.

Typically I only buy 2-3 new games a year while the rest are used so I'm in a bit of a pickle trying to figure out which games I want most.

I don't know of any games coming out that I plan on buying.
Now that I no longer have a job, I have to try to make my money last...
So I will be making pretty much ever gaming sacrifice possible.
And my XBL Gold runs out later this month, after three years of never running out.

Since video game prices seem to drop rapidly after release the only 'day one' buys I'm planning on right now are Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Portal 2. Possibly Duke Nukem Forever, depending on how it does in reviews.

As far as sacrifices are concerned, it's very impractical to keep two subscription MMOs running at the same time (or 3 if I dip back into WoW) so I'll no doubt drop one or all at various points through the year, and pure lack of time has been dissuading me from trying any more MMOs for quite a while now.

I generally don't "sacrifice" anything. I usually buy what I want, but either when it goes cheaper, or at a later date.
Though I prolly won't be buying Duke Nukem Forever.

Probably have to skip the latest Elder Scrolls, as I just don't have the time to play massive RPG's anymore.

I might have to wait for both Brink and Portal 2. I'm okay with waiting for Gears of War 3 seeing as I still have to complete the second one and beat Raam

However, I was smart and made sure I'd have at least one of the big titles coming out this year and pre-ordered LA Noire. Let's just hope I get a job and can buy the others too though.

Mainly having to game less as I'm in the last few months of my degree and need to put that at top priority, meaning I won't be finishing the back log of my uncompleted steam games and will have to wait awhile to play Deus Ex: Human Revolution :(

I'm gonna skip... Hm. Can't actually think of any. Any new CoD, WoW, music games, or sports games, I'm gonna pass over. Maybe entirely.

I never buy games for over $30, ever. Most games that I buy are in the $10-$20 dollar range. And in the case of single-player games I don't mind waiting a few years to get it. So I won't be sacrificing anything.

I'm going to have miss out on Gears of War 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

But I'm not missing out on Brink and Skyrim, they both look fantastic, I'll also be chipping in for any more New Vegas expansions, i'm a proper Fallout fan boy :D

This is mostly what I do but sometimes Im so afraid that someone on the internet is gonna pull out a spoiler that I wasn't expecting which is why I buy games like Assassins Creed as soon as possible. This still didn't prevent the ending of brotherhood from being spoiled for me though because some people have loose lips.
