Let's see.

- I loathe clothes shopping. And shoe shopping.
- I played with Lego and Meccano as a kid. I only ever asked for girly toys when I wanted to find out how they worked.
- I hate clubbing, dancing, socialising, parties with people I don't know... etc.
- I play video games.
- I'm studying IT, and I'd like to work as a programmer.

Yeah, I'm female.

In my case, the question should be, "what gender roles DO you ascribe to"?

Male

- I love my hair and like making sure it looks good. I also moisturize, shave every day, and occasionally in the past i've liked to wear womens perfume (I don't anymore though, I wear mens scents now) and nail polish (still do but rarely)

- I absolutely love shopping, particularly for clothes. I love clothes, I'm always spending most of my money on buying new clothes, and there have been times where i've left the house to go somewhere miles away and decided half way there im not happy with what im wearing, so I will go all the way back home to change. I often wear womens jewelry (if its not really obviously female).

- I have absolutely no interest in sports, and consider watching sports to be the most boring thing a person can do. Playing them is more tolerable, but only non-contact sports and the only thing I could honestly say I enjoy playing with any regularity is Tennis. The only "sport" ive ever enjoyed watching? Figure skating.

- I care a lot about my figure, but I do it through healthy eating rather than exercise.

- Although I also love Trance and House music, for the longest time I loved, and still love to a lesser extent, pop music; I was a huge fan of Christina Aguilera in particular up until her latest album which I hated. With regularity I still listen and happily sing along to some of the most ridiculously girly/gay songs imaginable.

- I love cooking and its one of my main interests.

- I'm studying Tourism and I plan to be a travel agent (seems this industry consists of 90% women, and my class seems to emulate that nicely too)

- I have some pretty girly manneurisms, can't really describe them succinctly here though.

- In a relationship although I'm comfortable taking on the typical male role I often have submissive wants and needs; nothing sexual, but I love the idea of being cuddled rather than doing the cuddling... that kind of thing.

- A lot of my friends are women and gay men.

- I love clubbing, socialising, and dancing.

---

There's a lot of other little things, but im not going to list everything. These are just ones that come to mind.

Although a lot of people think I'm not, I'm actually very straight. I'm comfortable in my sexuality and I'm also comfortable embracing my femininity. My father has gender dysphoria and is now living as a woman, so i feel that in a way means I was brought up by two women, or two minds that are female at least. I think that really contributed to how I turned out, and honestly I couldn't be happier or more confident in my personality. My father had worries I would turn out to have gender dysphoria too because of the way I was acting through high school (although statisticaly this is pretty close to impossible) but I'm quite happy and comfortable with my body, and I dont want a sex change so thats definitely not it.

I like to think of myself as a male lesbian :D

I'm a woman, I guess I do go by some gender expectations such as loving cute animals(kittens!!!) and babies and suchlike.

But I also:
- Am not at all needy.
- Enjoy games (though I wish this wasn't a dude stereotype)
- Love horror movies
- Dont fuss about my weight (but thats cause I'm one of those people who can eat what I like and not gain any weight).
- Swear quite a lot
- Am dirty-minded.

A man here.

-I do not want to get into drinking. Kinda hard in Australia when most guys here are itching to have a drink, or just Australians in general.
-I really like cats.
-I really enjoy good webcomics about relationships (you can find ones without the sap, or just learn to look past it).
-I don't have much interest in ball sports or serious competition.
-I really enjoy reading (especially humourous stuff, I'll read it for hours).

I am a woman so here goes...
-I swear often.
-I despise (most) chick flicks.
-I am a very sexual person, and I have a higher sex drive than most people or at least the ones I have met.
-I can have a relationship based purely on sex and not become attached emotionally.
-I am loud.
-I laugh when someone farts.
-I hate talking on the phone, but I do love texting so maybe that one doesn't count.
-If you want to go with some really antiquated gender roles, I am very opinionated and I tend to be a dominant sort of person in general.
-I am not currently in a kitchen. Shocking, I know.

Despite this, I also have several traits that are highly feminine. I love to bake, like children, want to become a public school teacher, and I have a mothering streak a mile wide.

For example, I think Before Sunrise [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112471/] is an absolutely beautiful movie.
That movie ;_;. There is a sequel P.S.

Uhh, I dunno. I'm not very sociable and I have very little tact, which are normally my people's greatest skills. I actively watch live fighting game tournaments/play games which makes my family ridicule me (i.e. this is your LIFE?!). I live in my pajamas. I'm pretty low-key. I jokingly boast about bowel movements etc. I can be crude. I don't like sweets that much, so ice-cream can't console me. Had to do wedding photos recently, I was the only one who didn't cross their legs, oops. It didn't even occur to me.
Ooooh..... I'll have to get that :D.

As for ever being told "this is your LIFE?!", my answer's pretty simple: "Yes, it is."

And I heartily approve of living in pyjamas.

But isn't joking about bowel movements considered feminine? Or is that only my mom being weird (i.e. it's only a small one...).

EDIT: Just realized that ;_; is apparently a sad emoticon (yeah, my internet non-verbal skills are just as horrible as my RL ones :p). But how is that movie sad? Touching, sure. But I found it nothing but beautiful, not sad in any way.
My family's ridicule is a ..kindhearted type of mockery, not really malicious :p. Embrace the lameness. Hm, I'm not sure the BM thing is too widespread, especially with the silly notion that girls don't even poop :p. I guess your mom is just awesome. As for the movie, it was more so emotionally engaging not necessarily sad I suppose I meant. They made the interactions feel genuine, like that meeting on the train could really take place, SNIFFFFFFFFF.

Erm....

I don't think "SNIFFFFFFFFF" is quite the appropriate expression when talking about BM the sentence before that :p. But that just might be my delusions that girls do poop speaking...

But yeah, the movie was a genuine human connection, not too often seen and definitely emotionally engaging.

And kind-hearted family ridicule is always good :D, gives you an excuse to mock them right back.

Blokes do heavy lifting... because i dont.

Seriously when you work in an office full of women when there is some manual work to be done they all look at me... and I ignore them pretty hard. On principle. And maybe because I'm lazy too but mostly principle.

Female.

-I've spent more money on games & game memorabilia then I have anything else.
-The only shoes I've ever bought myself were 70$'s but they always last me ten years.
-I don't like children very much, at all. (Which apparently is a chick thing).
-I like beer.
-I only wear make-up on special occasions. And since those rarely come around, I can just say I don't.
-I have little-to-no vagina loyalties.
-I don't play Facebook games.
-I do have my own money (just not a lot of it now.lol)
-I don't wear jewelery.
-I don't speak ill of my Husband to other women. I know some who will spend our whole lunch or time-out just berating their boyfriends/husbands, and some single women who just talk shit about men altogether and it's annoying as hell and more common then I like to admit.

But I also have some traits that adhere to the feminine stereotype and one that drives some other women absolutely nuts:

-I've put out 17 to 20 applications around this town, but no one is hiring, or they just aren't hiring me. So for the time being, I'm a housewife. What drives some other women nuts is : I love it. A lot. and so does my Husband. I do everything besides pay the bills and my Husband told me not to worry about finding a job and I haven't been. I've been called lazy, a joke, and a set-back in Women's Rights and Future, to my face. Absolutely charming.
- I like shopping for the things we need. Like when we take our monthly shopping trip to Costco. I don't buy any luxuries, but I like the looking around for the necessities, if that makes any sense.
- I'm married. (But that just drives a lot of people nuts lol)
- I do like cute things. Like my three small (not yippy) dogs.
- I am neat and tidy. I like cleaning and organizing.
- I enjoy doing the laundry.
- I love to cook and bake things.
- I cry on movies and t.v. shows and video games, if it's sad enough.
- I enjoy gardening.

I'll just say that when I'm on the internet and don't explicitly state my gender, people assume I'm a girl.

TV has told me that young men are supposed to be sexually courageous and constantly desiring sex all the time, talking about sex all the time, checking women out all the time. And I do desire sex.... but not nearly, NOT NEARLY as much as TV tells me I am supposed to. I find myself desiring recognition and money far more than sex. I never talk about sex or.... bodies. I have never had any desire to visit a strip club. I have no difficulty in not staring at attractive women - hell most of the time I barely notice the people around me, regardless of what gender they are.

I'm aware that there are a lot of men who list sex and girls as a low priority in their life. I'm not special or unique in that regard - but I am not a sex-crazed "CHECK-OUT-DAT-ASS" drooling fiend that TV says I should be.

EDIT: Oh and I don't drink, nor do I have any desire to ever drink, and in fact I will never drink. Not for any religious reason, I just don't want to drink alcohol. Ever. Also, I don't like sport.

First off i'm quite a big tattoo'd fella, ex military, shaved head and I like beer (although the head shaving isn't purely for looks i'm going grey but i'm too vain to look at it).

Now you have the image.

I have a pet Rabbit I love to bits.
Just got a baby Ferret thats cute as hell.
I'm mad about my missus.
I enjoy spending time with my kids.
I listen to 60's music not just because I was brought up on it by my parents but I really do enjoy it.
I like Battlestar Gallactica.
I use my PC a hell of a lot for gaming.
I have It qualifications and i'm a chef.

Nearly everyone I know does know i'm a bit of a "geek" for the most part but the main advantage to being a big guy with my background is .... no bugger dares to mock me for it.

I'm kinda like the geek bullies hated at school, they couldn't pick on someone that would squash their heads with his bare hands.

And that my friends, is why I love my life. It doesn't matter what I do people don't mock me to my face about it.
I know your clone. He is pretty much you but 20.

OT: I dunno, I like gender most of the gender roles that I'm aware of.
I don't really like AFL (Aussie Rules Football) which is unmanly here apparently. But I don't give a shit.

I like books but I think that's gender neutral, especially considering it use to be a mens hobby as women weren't sent to schools way back when. That being said, horse riding use to be manly as all fuck. Now apparently it's not? I can ride a horse, and I'm a fucking boss!

Let's see...

-I'm a bi male, and a virgin.
-I'm most likely submissive.
-I don't mind letting my hair get long. (It's short for now.)
-I do not like sports.
-I don't care about cars.
-I piss sitting down, standing wouldn't be nice on my lower back.
-Shooters aren't really my thing.
-My signature has a little heart in it.
-I enjoy deep thinking and cute stuff.

Yeah, I'm not as manly as I look.
