Some games are harder than others. RPGs are relatively easy because for most of them you just need to select an attack and use it, rather than having any specific button combinations. And if you're having trouble, you just need to go off and do some easier adventures until you level up. Fighting games are harder because you need to have good timing and know the combos. First person shooters require you to be alert and have quick enough reflexes. RTS' are probably the hardest, because they combine the real time aspect of an FPS and throw in extra elements like base building and unit management. Simulation games like Sim city are like RTS, but with out the time pressure. You can be skilled at any one of these, but it's like the difference between being skilled at writing and being skilled at formula one racing.

As for my own skills, I'm sort of skilled with FPS games, I'm useless with RTS games but I enjoy them more.

I'm apparently a natural at first person shooters and platformers.

I also enjoy RTS'es (though I suck at'em) and Fighting Games (where I'm decent, not great).

No idea. I think claiming myself to excel at a game is egotistical and riddled with bias, but I would say that I because of my experiences in competitive gaming, my perspective on playing FPS's has made me somewhat successful. I also find I am not too bad at RTS games.

I'm awesome at FPS games, particularly due to my insane trigger finger when playing games with semi-auto weapons.

(Call of duty: World at War specifically, I am a god with my carbine! :) )

Mostly RPGs, but that's probably just the genre I suck the least in.
Yeah, even though I hardly do anything besides gaming (and school), I'm not good at it...

I'm a jack of all trades, excluding driving games. Gimme any game where theory-crafting is an advantage and I'll own.

FPS's, I don't think I have played a FPS game that I sucked at. I am horrible with RTS, but personally I think thats what makes them fun to me. I can do alright in some RPGs.

Some RTS's and most FPS's. In particular, I'm amazing at guessing bullet drop, at least in BFBC2. Can't hit a moving target, but I can get a fucking headshot.
Sorry just had to say that your avatar is fantastic!
Anyway I consider myself the kind of person on FPS that is there so others can get 2/1 kill death ratio. I mean someone has to bear the burden. However, I am very good at FPS but only with a shotgun and/or traps. I have about a 5/1 KD ratio on maps that are not sniperfests.
I am also good at RPG's, and MMO's. RPG's because there is usually some cheap way to mess with people.(Fire mage on Guild Wars with ALL AoE attacks that require no line of sight=ownage, then ban) also because if their is a problem you can just grind to fix it or look at your skills and re-plan them. MMO's because people are dumb, and theres always ways to take advantage of stupidity.(Not like EvE heists or anything crazy though)

I'm pretty good at RPGs, FPSs and fighting games, but racing games are really my forte. Except Mario Kart Wii unless I have an joystick...the steering still screws with me.

RPGs.

Dont often requite reflexes, just lots of time, which I have a lot of.

Testemant to this is Unlocking the Majin in Disgeae and kill Priere, I cheated in the fight but 130+ hours is still dedication.
