for me a fps free running zombie sandbox game with multiplayer.
you run around a zombie apocalypse doing missions for people to help stop the zombie problem from helping a supposed witch that claims it's voodoo to a scientist that thinks it's a advance type of flue (of course this is meant to be funny) but fighting the basic zombie to a zombie fire breathing T-Rex. you get a large number of guns from your basic pistol to six shoot grenade launchers. you can also play with friends which increase the zombie count.

so what genre mix would you like to see and to you have an idea of how it would go?

Turn Based Strategy with Real Time Strategy

Where you move squads around the classic turn-based strategy grid, and when they meet, you play a mini-RTS battle with the units in each squad in a confined-yet-open area, like a warehouse or section of forest.

All of the resource gathering and the like would be done on the turn-based grid, to cut down on the pressure, and keep the focus purely on strategy.

Id like to see a rhythm game/open world type deal. I know it sounds stupid, but making custom characters and stuff like that in GH and whatnot really isnt useful because you're not really looking at them. This would be a chance to bond more and feel more attached to them I think.

Well, it already exists, but Action-RTS. An RTS without focus on lightspeed clicking and insane micromanagement, but where you take part in the battles yourself instead of watching them from above. Brutal Legend is my favourite example, which is basically the successor to Sacrifice. There's a few other games like this too. But really, I think there's a lot that can be done with this genre (or sub-genre) and I'd love to see games like this become more common.

yea I liked brutal legend my friend commands the troops I beat up on everyone while I wait for the troops to arrive (I was amazing at the actual combat especially when I combined with a unit the fact is I could whip out the enemies entire army by myself). anyway I actually would like to see more done with this genre

An action platformer/fighting mix. You climb tall structures, leaping from wall to wall, swinging from poles, running up and across walls and then finally reaching the top of the tower, you see the other players has as well The screen swings around and locks into a 2D plane and the words 'Are you ready? Fight!!' appear on screen. WHAP WHAP POW POW !!

you can get pretty close to that with the indie fighting game ZP2KX.

A high budget fps / rts.

Along the lines of Red Alert: A Path Beyond.

Class slots for things like Harvester, light tanks, heavy tanks, choppers etc and then infantry classes.

2 main bases per map, one per side. Neutral outposts scattered in strategic locations with low-tech base defenses (AT-turrets, anti-infantry guard towers) that can be utilised by infantry.

Damage modifiers for certain weapons vs their primary targets (Rockets +damage vs buildings and armour) and vehicles & repair resources limited by your team's resource stockpile. Team commander will have to authorize all requests for funds and will be able to call a vote on whether or not to use team resources to fire a superweapon at a location on the map or to buy temporary support (Radar jammer/Supply drop/Parabombs).

Sounds like a balance nightmare but I'd love to see it attempted professionally.

That sounds awesome, it's the kind of thing I was thinking of in my post above.

what about one person builds units and collects minerals while every other person in the team picks from a list of units(that are stronger then their npc spin off but only by a little also the unit selection would only be from the small units) that they want to be then the person building units can assign them to one of the other players so they follow them so one person has a scouting squad while another defends the minerals it would be a great game to play and watch I imagine also the players would play in a fp or tp as appropriate for each unit so if the game was a starcraft spin off if you play as a zergling it would be in third person but if you play as a marine it would be fp. also if a player dies he respawns as a resources collection unit. what to you think?
