I have loved games in almost every genre, but I've never got on with Horror games, which seem to have a difficult control system as a prerequisite to being scary. Platformers can also get very samey for me and I end up getting bored quickly, and ditto for racing games although I must say that multiplayer is generally a good laugh, for some reason racing games seem to appeal to everyone when offered up as a multiplayer option.
RPGs are fantastic! I love RPGs, I guess that makes me insane. Just for good measure, I think JRPGs are the best type of RPG, they're always either classical RPG goodness or they're new, innovative and quirky. Also, just so you get it right, they don't all have giant swords and effiminate men, that's just every now and again.
I like platformers as well, especially now they have evolved to the point of Prince of Persia.
However, I can't stand movie tie-ins, they always seem to be tacky and boring, and FPSs get bit grating at times.
Just for it being different to every other game out there, I love Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) as well.

Similar to my music taste, I enjo practically every genre; the only one I find difficult to divulge any entertainment out of would be MMOs. I prefer to solo and play games at my own leisure, which is not often encouraged or even allowed with MMOs. FFXI made it bloody near impossible to play without people.

I'm not much of a fan of the movie port genre...those are generally crap.
RPG's, FPS's, and casual Flash Games you find lurking on the interwebz can be entertaining though.

Hate: FPS, anything first person, most things with guns, [I'm talking bland guns here, not cool stuff like Ratchet&Clank's weapons]unecessarily long games, and all things that are considered "casual". [Mini games, SPORTS GAMES, puzzles, etc]
I'm not particularly fond of Turn Based RPGs either.
Love:
Platformers, all this jazz that's classified as "Action-adventure", anything actiony, anything original.
