Racing, hands down. It's the only genre I know where you cannot take your eyes off the screen even for a second. And I really believe that some of them, such as Forza 3, are incredibly hard to master.
Does that mean I have the skillz[sup]tm[/sup] since I'm pretty dang good at F-zero Gx?
Suck it everyone else!

An RTS, especially in online play, the larger the RTS the more skill required (Most of the Time).

RTS that doesn't allow for a spam tactic. I mean you gotta get REALLLLLY good to make a effective fighting force and minimal damages to your own guys

Genre is fast becoming an irrelevant term but generally in games it often depends upon what level you play it at. Even Fighting games can either be just dull brained button mashing or at higher level fast paced tactical engagements depending upon who's playing. Also depends upon which skills.

Well balanced RTSs, turn-based strategy, 4X games, and hardcore trading games.

It honestly depends on which game you are using to represent each genre, for instance, Street Fighter III takes more skill than IV IMO.

i think every genre roughly has its games that rape just about any skilled player, it just depends on what type of skills and whats the goal of it all.

alot of people are praising rts's but i have a friend of mine who is...well lets say hes barely above iq of 70 and he straight up rapes on starcraft, thats basically all he played for years. it was bad. so take it however you want to but i dont think there is necessarily ONE TO RULE THEM ALL!

RTS takes most skill.

FPS is mostly reaction time and is very luck based.
I disagree about what you have to say about FPS, but then again you may be talking about casual play.

But of course, I do agree that RTS takes a lot of skill, the slightest mistakes can be very costly, for example, this one game of SC2 I ended up losing because of the misplacement of ONE unit. I was ever so sad...
