My alarm usually gets me out of bed in the morning.
I'm not particularly religious, but I am thoughtful. Enough to have thought about what the meaning of life could be and come to the conclusion that we will probably never know for sure. Is it to simply reproduce, pass on our genes, and then die? Or is there something deeper to it?
As such, I just try to live for now. I don't look for a meaning or a purpose. I don't wonder how long I live for, or what death is like. I simply live out each day to the best of my ability, and hope that I'm doing all right.

Video games.

...No, I'm not joking. Once I find a girlfriend, then she will become the center of my world and give my life meaning. But until then, video games are what convinces me to get up in the morning, go to work, and not just let myself rot in the corner somewhere.

Ironically, by virtue of video games controlling my life, I will never get the girl. :'(

A while ago I didn't really think of trying to have a purpose but then a friend dragged me to a paintball tournament and we had a great time so extreme sports give meaning to my life like skydiving or scubadiving or paintballing, stuff like that its been a fun couple of years

Honestly, whatever goal Im looking to achieve or hurdle to overcome- to work out a plan. The meaning of my life changes to reflect what Im actively doing in my life- the things that I enjoy and find a semblance of fulfillment from. The same goes for everyone. As much as its thrown around out there, no one is born or made to do anything- it's frankly kind of belittling to suggest that someone was just born to do whatever they excel at, as it diminishes the real work and practice they had to accomplish their skill, talent or whatever meaning or type of life someone chooses to follow.

I really want to know. It's just something that I'm curious about.

Friends, family, religion? What gives you reason to get up in the morning?
Having fun!

I enjoy life, sure not every second of every day, but at least at some point every day I'm enjoying myself.

I pit this down to a good girlfriend, good friends and a good out look on all things.

bacon and bacon-related things...
Incidentally, I sell bacon and bacon accessories.
Sounds like your wasting your time. All the real money is in the apple market. Also, where is a pony getting bacon from?
Ah, well you see the thing with that is...Look over there, it's a dragon! *flies away*

I'd like science to come up with a definitive meaning of life. None of this religious stuff.

But generally i'm fine without a reason to live, but mostly it's just curiosity. I like to see how the next day will turn out. It rarely pleases me.

My Wife and my unborn child. Before my family I was rather nihilistic aside from trying to discover the urge to finally get off my lazy ass, learn how to program (again) and try my hand at making a video game, because an idea/dream is all that it is until you decide to make it reality, still haven't gotten around to doing that though.
