I want to find some new games to play (Xbox 360 and PC) but I want to play good games that people haven't heard of or at least haven't heard much of, can you guys give me some suggestions? :)

Warning : Old Gamer, and you didn't list a genre.

Chris Sawyer's Locomotion is a fairly unknown one. But a great game none the less. Its a more modern remake of the classic Transport Tycoon.

360? The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden 2, Stranglehold, Crackdown.
PC? I'm currently playing through Max Payne 2 (on the hardest difficulty) and Dark Corners of the Earth, which I'm struggling through just because it's so damn scary.
I've played all of those xbox 360 ones, The Darkness is a beautiful game, I can't wait for the sequel! :D
What is Dark Corners of the Earth? I haven't heard of it before (surprise surprise haha)

Spelunky: Combining the randomness and insta-death fun of roguelikes with platforming!

Flotilla: Great little space exploration game with a really original and fun combat system.

Liberal Crime Squad: Everyone has heard of Dwarf Fortress, yet no-one ever bothers to try Liberal Crime Squad. I think it's the better game, though it isn't nearly as complex. Besides, in how many games are you charged with running a secret organisation of terrorists (maybe not if you don't play that way) who need to save the USA from becoming a "BACKWOODS YET CORPORATE NIGHTMARE"!!?

In the game you can do this any number of ways, from secret kidnapping and brainwash operations, to infiltrating the media, to creating a network of spies to dig up incriminating evidence on conservative leaders, to simply taking the conservatives out one bullet at a time. I really recommend people try this game, it showcases what is great about Roguelikes perfectly: the immense amount of original, fun, and creative ideas that come out of the genre.

Ditto on the can't wait for sequel...hopefully it can live up to the first one.

Umm it's a survival horror game, and it's a true blue horror. You're given barely any weapons (the first couple of levels have you stripped of ANY weapons) and it's fucking scary as hell. I recommend playing it to experience true terror...not that wishy washy 'Dead Space' stuff...which is a perfectly good game...just a perfectly shite HORROR game.
From what i've seen of the sequel its looking pretty good, it continues on with the story like a good sequel should and well theres just too much to discuss about how good its looking haha

Ah thats the best kind :D i LOVE those kind of games haha, they give the greatest sense of genuine fear and excitement :D

Dead space is a great game but yeah just as you said, its not a good HORROR game :p

Get thee to Good Old Games, buy Freespace 2, Planescape: Torment, The Longest Journey, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, Jagged Alliance 2 and Independence War. Then start checking out the rest of the catalogue.

Oh and I know that these aren't obscure games, well maybe Independence War is, but they are well worth playing if you haven't tried them.

GOG is definitely a good site to go on for old games.

Arcanum, Gabriel Knight, Planescape: Torment, and probably many others at GOG.

You can probably find some good games you missed with steam as well such as The Longest Journey

Well, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron [http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/073/073987.html] looks like it is going to be one of these. Beautiful, stunning visuals? Check. An interesting and unique combat mechanic? Check. Intriguing story? Check. Nobody knows about it, and probably no one will buy it? Double check. Seriously, I encourage everyone to check this game out. It looks sweet.

Play REZ HD and then thank me properly (which will involve 3 free whores for me, at the very least).

Dark corners of the Earth is a really good game, unfortunately it gives you any weapons at all a few levels in, which makes the horror much less frightening. It's still there, though.

Also, there's Conker Live&Reloaded for the original Xbox, but it's compatible with the 360. Get that if you haven't yet :D

On the PC-front there's Pathologic and The Void (warning, obscure artsy adventure games), Dark Messiah of Might&Magic, if you're into 1st-person melee combat as much as I am and probably a bajillion more I don't know about myself.

If you can get over the titanic learning curve, deal with the ASCII graphics, and decipher the terrible UI, Dwarf Fortress can provide you with a truly unique experience and hours of entertainment (and frustration). Sure you need to dedicate a fair chunk of time to learning how to play it properly but it's a very rewarding game. And it's completely free, so no harm done if the game drives you crazy. Between learning the game and exploring all of it's feature it will certainly keep anyone occuipied for a long time.
