What got you into gaming?

I remember, the first game that I played was Doom on the PC, I was 6 hahah. It was the scariest thing ever! But I kept wanting to play it, and it only got worse from there what I want to know is: what game did you play that really got you into playing video games?

Playing Lemmings on my grandfather's computer. I was 4 years old, and I ended up beating it.

I was playing some games as a kid on the Magnovox Odyssey, and really enjoyed it.

Probably gameboys. I played the first gameboy and liked it. I think it eventually led on to me getting an n64 and goldeneye which really got me into gaming.

My mum and I had an amiga with G.I. Ant and the epilepsy inducing cat tetris. We would play a level each, and it went crazy from there, to the point where all gaming was banned =]

Ohh man...Gameboys were a HUGE catalyst for me, I remember playing Pokemon and Montezuma's Revenge nonstop on that!

Playing Croc the Legend of the Gobbos and Bomberman on my best friends playstation 1.
Also Sonic and Knuckles on the Sega Megadrive. Poor Sonic, he never deserved to become the mediocre piece of crap he is today.

My C64. Every month we bought a magazine about it. Some hobbyists posted their programms in it so you could type it over and suddenly had a game.

Been playing video games for as long as I can remember really, but I guess it really got "serious" when I injured my foot and couldnt play football or be involved in any physical activities (even walking up the stairs was a *****) for over a year. I dont remember exactly what the doctor called it, but the thing was that one of my ligaments (Patellar Tendron) was almost torn apart.
