I actually didn't start gaming until I was about 10. I have, however, had been exposed to it since I was 5 or so and have been fascinated since. It all started with Myst. My dad got it on our old PC and it was really interesting to see how it worked. Then a year later, my downstairs neighbor invited me to play Golden Eye. I sucked but I had the time of my life. Then my parents sort of cut me off from gaming. I wasn't allowed to play any games at all. I was, however, allowed to see my friends play, and see gaming magazines. Cutting me off from gaming made me want to know even more. Then finally, at age 10, I got my first Gameboy and the rest is history.

So to answer your question OP, it wasn't really a specific game that got me into gaming, it was the lack of gaming that got me into gaming. Weird, right? :p

I saw Atari Lunar Lander in the upstairs gallery of my local swimming pool & was mesmerized by it.

i think it was a game about Taz, "the Tazmanian Devil" for a sega console... to be fair to me, i am only 17, and the doom series swept waaay over my age limit. But yeah, i really liked that game, i played it when i was very young... about 3, maybe 4 (alongside the other sonic games for sega).
But that game really is my earliest memory of playing a video game, and i think i've been playing them ever since. (oh, and a 2player one concerning Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse (my strongest memory of that game being that on 2 player, Donald got his bum stuck in a crawl-through passage, and Mickey would have to push him through)

Warcraft1, Z, Command&Conquer were my first games. RTS, and I was like 5 years old. First things I could write were cheats for Warcraft and my name. I beat Z without cheats though.
Half Life and Counterstrike were first ego shooters. Gothic1 and 2 were the first RPGs I played.
Tetris and Soccer games for SNES.

Would have to be Sonic, the only game my mum or dad would play with my brother, I felt left out, I joined in the fun, and here I am today.

SMB on SNES, I had nintendo power. I enjoyed computer games such as the oregon trail and number munchers, but the first PC game that sucked me in was X-com ufo defense

Believe it or not it was Gran Turismo 1 on the PS1..
I played the hell out of it when I was 8.

That was the one that got me fired up, but the one that chained me forever to gaming was Final Fantasy IX later on

Well, first it was watching my dad play Wolfenstein 3D, back when I was just a small child, and occasionally he'd let me play for a bit.

But the game that really got me was either Mario Kart 64 or LoZ: Ocarina of Time. Did those games ever kick ass.

T'was the dear old Nintendo 64. My bro got it around the launch date in 97/98 (?), and I was 5. Super Mario 64, and watching the bro playing LoZ: Ocarina over his shoulder launched my gaming career. Nearly 5 years later, Morrowind birthed my preference for RPGS.

I started out my gaming, if you could call Mario Paint a game, on SNES when I was only 3, then when I was 6, I played NES over at a friends house with the first Zelda game. But, I never really started gaming till I played and finished Ocarina of Time at 8 years old, since then I've branched out and played games on all different consoles. I've had a good time with games in my life.

My dad brought home a SNES when I was 2 or 3 and we spent many happy hours playing Super Mario kart. Thank you dad :)
