Super Mario World for the SNES was the first game I ever played, but the Half-Life series is really what showed me the gaming world.
When my mother was going out for a while she would drop me off at a friends house. That friend just so happend to have a play station that I would play on all day, so it got me to beg my parents for a playstation 2. It made me the gamer I am today. I can still remember that the first game I ever played was spyro.
Sonic the Hedgehog for the megadrive. Later on I discovered Warcraft 2 on my uncle's pc and managed to finish it. Around the same time my dad bought back this odd-looking thing, which I'd only heard the name of on tv during prize giveaways etc, called a Playstation along with Tomb Raider 1 & 2 and Doom 1 & 2. Good times.
Playing Kthe Kirby and Mario collections on the SNES. XD That and power rangers 2 on the SNES. That same console and set of games got both of my little sisters into gaming too. XD
When it became a hobby? Need For Speed Porsche 2000 and FIFA 2001

The first games I played included Lemmings on my dad's MS-DOS PC, I used to write the passwords down on the back of a brown envolope.
Other games he had were Tetris, Battlechess, Golf and Space Invaders all of which were given to my dad on floppy disks. Ah, those were the days.
But I lost interest for a while before getting back into games playing games on an N64 and Pokemon blue on gameboy colour round at a friends house. (Such a good friend in fact he gave me his N64 free when he got a Gamecube! So I could play all his games at my house instead.).
007 Goldeneye on the N64, ever day after school! Than from there, I played Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. To this day I am still not as good at RTS games as I was back then.
Well... this is the unabriged version me and my sister were friends with these two people who had a Snes and thats were i got to first see Mega Man X and LoZ: Link to the Past, i was highly fascinated with it. About a year after the Playstation came out i fainted and started haveing bad migraines, so i started playing indoors and played games on the computer, i cant remember what i played. After awhile i was bored and asked for a game console and right before we were going to get an N64 my sister told me we should get a playstation. after much argueing i fell for her trap and got the PS, i still wish i argued longer and stuck with my purchase, but probably a year before the next gen consoles came out i got the N64 finally and got to play the games i always wanted to play. then i got the gamecube first and PS2 later.

The NES was my start but that's not what got me into a total Gamer. That would be my N64 for my 7th Christmas, Mario Kart, Banjo Kazooi, Michief makers, Glover, these were games that got me really into Gaming...as much as I hate nintendo and the Wii, I can't deny that they got me started
