I already own an AK, actually.
A Romanian surplus one if I remember correctly.
And AR's do not cost "a bit more" around here. For some reason, there has been a bit of a gun grab... so the prices have driven up for a lot of guns, especially the AR's.
So, to me, the next best thing would be a Mini-14, since they are cheaper then AR's, and have similar stopping power, but with an added bonus of being more durable. I have heard things about its accuracy though.
IIRC, it's accuracy is better than the AK, or about the same if you're one of those people who can shoot right(I have issues with people who knock the accuracy of the ak). Any of the problems you've been told have been fixed with the new models as far as I've been told.

Sucks for you about the AR thing, a well built one would cost me about 200 bucks more than a new Mini14. But, you have a romanian AK, so I hate you.:p

They are suprisingly cheap, the Romanian AK's, going for about 400 dollars.
I'll give you a few links if you'd like.

Also, after doing some more research I did find out about the accuracy being improved with newer models. Ooh... around here, a Mini-14 costs about 600 dollars less then the regular AR's. I did think about getting an AR-10 though. Not many people seem to be going after those, despite the massive stopping power.

Question: You seem rather experienced with firearms.
Do you live in the Southern part of America?

Maryland, most of my knowledge comes from frequent a forum with a shitload of old timers who know a hell of a lot about guns.

I'd go with an sks. They're dirt cheap and ammo (7.62X39) isn't bad either.

(I'm new and idk how to post a pic or link, sorry)

You can find them in games set during the Vietnam war, like Men of Valor.

I think I'd want a Walther P99.

The typical Bond gun.

If not that gun, then I'd have to pick either a P9 or a 45.defender. Can't be bothered with rifles, I perfer the handguns.

I'm getting a Mosin Nagant. I mean look at it, the damn thing is a club. Put on the bayonet and I have a lance. Truly a man's weapon.

Look at the sweet bolt on that thing, you just want to touch it.
Good man, I've been looking into that myself. Damn cheap gun too if I recall correctly...
Pay more than fifty dollars for one and you've been scammed. They made so many in WW2, the price deflated big time.

Not that that's bad, they're built like bricks.
Fuck it, I'd use one :)

.44 Magnum. Why? Here's why:

"I know what you're thinking; "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?"

My best gun in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was the G36c. I would so love to get my hands on one for real, but they don't make a civilian model.

In Resident Evil 4, my favorite handgun was the Blacktail, whitch was based on the Springfield XD 9mm. I plan on buying the newest version, the Springfield XDm, as soon as I have the extra cash.

About two years ago I bought myself a Mossberg 500 Tactical 12 gauge shotgun. A few months later, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 came out and the Mossberg 500 became my shotgun of choice in that game.
