What happened to all of the great 2010 games?

I dont know if its just me but the end of this years video games put a sour taste in my mouth. Last year 2010 was predicted to have the best and the largest games selection to come out. It seems like all of those games aren't coming out till next year. I was looking forward to Enslaved and then I found out the game play stunk. I planned on getting Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit to play with my buddies and then found out it has no split screen. Assassins Creed Brotherhood seems like a big DLC just to make more money (That goes for Fallout New Vegas) . And after reading and watching videos of the new CoD I dont feel like using my time just to get frustrated with all the new noob stuff.
Did 2010 disappoint you? And do you feel like all the great games were pushed to 2011?

EDIT: An example of games that were originally expected to have come out by the end of this year that are no longer. The last Guardian, TC Future Soldier, KIllzone 3, Gears of war 3, Resistance 3, Dead Space 2, F.E.A.R. 3, Infamous 2, and more.

I'm sorry for you. This has been a good year for me so far.

Dragon Quest 9, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, a new Professor Layton, a new Ace Attorney, Bayonetta, and Vanquish. And a few more that I'm missing. But that's just my tastes.

Bayonetta, Vanquish, Blazblue CS, Super Street Fighter IV, Halo Reach, The new ports for Deathsmiles and Guwange, new yu-gi-oh 5Ds virtual game. The year has been good enough to me.

That alone makes it greater than last year for me!

ME 2 was the biggest dissapointment of the year for me.

2010 was decent, nothing special. Get used to the hype machine though. I think every year in the next few to come will be hyped up as the '2007' killer or whatever. I personally didn't even think 2007 was that great, but maybe that's just me.

Mass Effect 2, Pokemon SoulSilver, and Fable 3. 2010 has been pretty good to me.

Don't think that the year was bad because the games coming out now aren't up to your expectations, most of the good games just came out earlier in the year.

I'm finding it hard to keep pace with 2010! Dead Rising 2, Medal of Honor, HAWX 2, Red Dead Redemption, Mafia II, Lords of Shadow, War for Cybertron, Dante's Inferno, Singularity, Shattered Dimensions, Demon's Souls, Darksiders, AvP, God of War III, Bad Company 2... All games I bought this year, and all games that I loved.

But from what I hear its exactly the same as Fallout 3 just a new environment. I dont support games that are just clones of the real deal just so they can make a little extra cash.

Red Dead Redemption and Super Street Fighter IV dropped this year. There were other games, too, but those two alone make 2010 a worthwhile gaming year for me.

Ah...That's where you are wrong. It may look like Fallout 3 graphically but as many would tell you it's got more to do with Fallout 2 than anything. Both in presentation and storyline. It is also more in keeping with the lore of the series.

That's not even counting the new enemies, locations, guns, new skills, perks and traits.

I cant really compare because I only got the 360 and decent pc this year, but
ME2, Reach, Fable III, seems good to me.

Sure there are games I'm waiting for that got pushed back to next year, like The Last Guardian.
But still, I think 2010 has seen a damn good selection of games, with titles like Alan Wake, Sin & Punishment 2, No More Heroes 2, Metro 2033 and Persona 3 Portable. Even NieR wasn't half bad.
