I loved the first show when I was younger. It had a good story, good characters and didn't try TOO hard. That new THING doesn't have anything going for it in any of those departments.
I tried watching it in the original Japanese (because hey, dubs can really mess the whole thing up, I'm looking at you One Piece)but nope, it's just really annoying to me.
Also, I think one of the reasons Yu Gi Oh doesn't get this horrible is that they try to stir things up with every new version but they are still all chronologically connected. And hell, I'm the kind of person who watches YGO while skipping trough 90% of the duels, and the story still totally works. I was really skeptical about the newest versions, Zexal, since let's face it, even for ygo standards, Yuma looks ridiculous. But it's actually rather good (but so far not as good as Duel Monsters or 5D's.)
But yeah, Beyblade. Such a shame they let it fester like this.
