What happened to Extra Credits?

A few weeks ago the video series Extra Credits stopped releasing videos because, I assume, their artist, Alison, had just had a serious operation and that they would be having guest artists instead. I assumed they had gone on hiatus but now I realise they've been taken off the site altogether!! Why has this happened and where have they gone?

I loved Extra Credits - even if I didn't agree with the view being expressed or I didn't care for the subject matter I always enjoyed listening to the collaboration of such kind, great people expressed in an unbiased and intellectual way. I can understand if they couldn't release any more, but getting rid of the archives without any warning? I just feel that's a little sad.

Oh that was a fun week you missed.

There was a legal kerfuffle and Extra Credits left The Escapist. The community reacted badly to very little information, people left, people stayed, people said they'd leave and stayed. The forums were a mess with people suggesting solutions to a problem that wasn't theirs, people having shouting matches about the ordeal and discussing the legal standpoint of it all.

Contrary to the start of the post, the week was shit and proved how foolish people on The Escapist can be,

You missed it, I can't believe it the escapist almost went into complete anarchy and you missed it. It all started like any normal day but then the thread "extra credits is leaving the escapist" or something like that and then the shit storm happened. Very long story short there were money issues with EC and then they left the escapist after the escapist allegedly claimed they had rights to some big percent of the money we raised for the artists surgery.

it...was not a good time to be an Extra Credits fan...i personally had to make a tough choice whether to stay or go, and even though i chose to stay, i dont think itll be the same without the hope that show provided. it appears the new episode said something about their new home, but i managed to entirely miss it.:/
