What happened to Extra credits?

Well the escapist and Extra Credits had this little episode where money didn't get paid or something like that and there was a huge episode about it and we almost had a mass exodus because of it. there was even a huge thread about it and that can be found here http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.305970-Extra-Credits-leaves-the-Escapist-NEW-Extra-Credits-Presents-The-MMORTS
What, you didn't here? Big mess. Effectivly the Escapist failed to pay them for a year - Allison's pay, effectivly. Then, during the fundraiser for Allisons arm, the Escapist made claim that they were owed 75% of the money raisedin Rocket Hub by contractual right since they owned control of the Extra Credits IP.
EC countered with a statment of interest to reaquire the IP. The Escapist then told them they could keep that rocket hub money for Allison, consider it the years back pay they owed them, and that they owed them 9,000 left over.
At this point EC lawyered up and entered litigation. Currently you can find Extra Credits every Thursday on youtube. This is a very simplistic retelling of a legal issue with alot of she said he said.

Man that's just pure greed! A escapist want's a piece of the fund raising money? Just gives me a reason never to comeback and watch videos here.
After a massive financial debacle, they left The Escapist, hung out on YouTube for a few weeks, then got picked up by Penny Arcade. They now have new episodes there every Wednesday.
They're with the Penny Arcade guys now. A much better fit as well. Extra Credits was way too optimistic for a place like the Escapist.
Wow...I never expected that from The Escapist, my opinion of them have gone right down, well at least I now know where to get my fix of Gaming culture
You omit the part where the Escapist was giving away things like pub club memberships and were going to give shirts to people who donated over a certain amount, with the Escapist to be reimbursed partly by the money raised.TsunamiWombat said:

Also, the Escapist were failing to pay prior to this fiasco simply because they're in such a tight financial situation that they honestly haven't been able to. It amazes me that I seem to have been one of the only people aware of the 'Scapist's financial woes prior to this event.
I know the whole thing was a big damn mess, but EC weren't exactly the white knights battling the big bad Escapist here.

I don't want to hurt your feelings, and I'm not trying to, but use the search bar as there are probably more threads on this topic than pony threads. That being said, yes what everyone else said. They're on Penny Arcade now.
