I gave up on nintendo about the time the N64 came out...strangely enough about the time final fantasy went to playstation, oddly enough. I kept track of the games since then i think its been going down the kid themed ritalin crapslide for quite a few years now.

Granted since then ive also become less and less a console gamer to a computer gamer only recently with the releases of rockband, guitar hero, Fable 2 and soon the guitar hero: metallica, have i even considered going back to console gaming.

game and hardware developers generally pick a demographic they think will bring them the most money, for nintendo its kids, family oriented fun and people who think exercising is waving a plastic stick around or trying to surf on a plastic block on the floor.

The x-box is for halo junkies (because really i havent heard much about x-box except for the halo games and fable 2, well that and all the madden games, but ill leave out my rant about playing sport video games as opposed to real life sports...

Playstation well, its a bit like the x-box, except that it also throws out a few gems like God of war and heavenly sword, the stories of Kratos the worlds angriest angry kid and his hormonal ex girlfriend....

But once again, and before the forum trolls come out to get me *coughorioncough* this is my opinon, and my opinon is subjective...don't read too much into it.

I am starting to feel some kind of gaming egoism. Most of you seems to think that Nintendo (and every other gaming devs for that matter) should only make games for YOU. Other people want to play games too. People that were not born with a controller in their hands. Bitching on the internet won't help you. Want to be heard by Nintendo, buy some stocks so you can be heard at investors meeting.

Don't really talk about the Wii but the same idea applies: http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=2048

And that: http://kotaku.com/5097355/i-gamer to understand that YOU are not alone in the gaming sphere.

I guess most people here didn't play Wario Land Shake It. You Wii owners are missing out on a masterpiece.
(Super Mario Galaxy in 2007)
(Wario Land Shake It in 2008)
That was the last "Nintendo" game that Nintendo didn't fuck up

The Wii is selling well, but it is breaking my heart. Nintendo no longer exists. Just a bunch of family games

The main problem is not the Wii itself, as most people like to think, but the developers who capitalize on the Wii's success to sell bad games with little to no effort put into them to maximize profit.

Well I think that, yes it is "family oriented" but it wouldn't hurt to have at least a couple good games on it.
