This is a question concerning that very thing we call Yahoo Answers. Now as far as i know Yahoo is a good site and it should be able to get mods. But if ever you spend a minute and look over some one the questions the spelling and grammar is just horrible. I know i have a bad reputation for that sort of thing but the spelling and grammar on yahoo answers would lower you standards. For site with so many users and new questions every damned second do you think Yahoo should make more of an effort to have people correct there shit. All they offer is a petty little spell checker and no one uses it.
Like i know i am bad at English since my first language is french but a lot of these people have been English all there lives and they spell worst then i do and mix up so many words.

The main problem with yahoo answers is the huge amounts of retards on the site

Yep, only mildly worse than the questions. What gives the answers the edge is that they are usually way off the mark and most of the questions can be answered anyway by a search engine or wikipedia. It's redundant and unhelpful.

We are doomed. All the facepalms that have ever existed will not be enough when faced with this sheer stupidity. My faith in humanity has forever been lost because of those questions.

The problem with the spell-checker, aside from the fact that people never use it, is that it's terrible. It tells me off for spelling place names incorrectly, which half the time are from games I'm answering questions about. Considering the breadth of topics discussed on that site, it's a very limited dictionary they use. It has problems with me typing 'San Andreas' in answers.

And, of course, there's the bug with the spell-checker where it'll highlight and correct half of a word. That's really annoying.

But there are reasonable people who use Yahoo! Answers, and if you stick to asking and answering intelligent questions, as well as ignoring or thumbs-down-ing the stupid ones, it's a pretty good site.

Then again, there'll always be those annoying people who answer a question with crap, and then vote for themselves, resulting in a Best Answer rating in the high 90s. That's really irritating. Grammar and spelling aren't my biggest issue with that site.
The questions are.
There was some lady who thought her daughter was possessed by "bad spirits."
People suggested bibles and all of that bullshit...
And when some nurse suggested that the baby had collic or whatever it's called, she was basically thumbed-down into oblivion.

And the questioner believed these people!
Fucking idiots.

yeah that so some times the question and some times answers are a little much. Just imagine if one of those kind of users were to come on here for a week.

I would kill them to death.

We would be so hard on them they would most likely become emo and then slit their wrists then go on yahoo answers asking why we here on the escapist are so harsh and how to get the persons parents of his or her backs because they caught him or her cutting them selves

Or worse: All of the people who read the post come here to torment us with their stupidity.

That would suck, then we could just get out mods to pester them right in return

I have seen one of the best ones. There was one woman who worked in a care home and had basically seen one of the elderly residents being abused by another care worker, or so she said. She asked what she should do and amongst the serious answers of 'Tell the police, it's your duty' or 'Tell your boss', there was someone called 'Ask a Black Guy' whose answer was simply 'Set fire to the building'. I've never seen so many thumbs down.
