Well, aside from getting very grumpy if i go a few days without proper sleep, i become extremely over emotional, i lose my appetite, struggle to make physical extertions (with one rather glaring exception... i'm not sure why it is... probably due to testosterone over-riding everything else) and start struggling to even speak coherently.

I get nonsensically philosophical. For example, one time I tried to determine what year Ed, Edd n Eddy takes place in. I've settled on the theory of about 1972.

Generally I get rather tired (!) unable to focus my eyes properly, headaches. The usual.

I'm an Insomniac, medicated, but it barely helps. As of now I've been up for 22 hours, but thats regular for me.

I've heard if you go long enough without sleep you can hallucinate, hasn't happened to me but I've felt pretty trippy before. Sorta like a crash after drinking too much. The longest I've ever stayed up is 70 hours, which I guess isn't a whole lot.

Insomnia isn't fun, especially if you have a day job. My medication turns me into a zombie in the morning, which is only cured with lots of coffee and a cold shower.

Three things happen to me when I'm really tired.

I hallucinate more than I usually do, I get really hungry, and I act drunk (IE my speech slurs, I stumble a lot, hell I sometimes even get headaches.

Fun Fact - If you go 10 days without sleeping, you die.

42hrs is my record, I just get more and more awake, but with one hell of a headache, I jabber on and on about nothing, and when I finally try to sleep, the pain between my eyes means it takes hours to drop off.

Some of the more entertaining insomniac hallucinations, albeit for other people, includes seeing spotty spiders covering the floor to the point where you try to wade through them when walking. Tons of spiderwebs everywhere and things crawling on your skin as well.

And yes, you do die if you don't sleep for more than a week and a half. Wonder who found that out? Bet it was experiments on POW's somewhere in history...

Well, I think my record is somewhere around 3.5 days to 4 days. When I did that I started getting all edgy and ended up punching one of my friends because he got a kill on me... fun times but kinda bad, kid still hates me (don't really blame him though).

I seem to have been gifted with the ability to stay up for days at a time if I have too. you see, for some reason if im tired all i need to do is eat a handful of any snack and I can stay up for hours like I had drank coffee.

Meh. Don't ask why or what reason or anything, but in the past I had serious insomnia, not the normal "oh i don't sleep :much:" those are people with very quick rem-cycles. I mean i didn't sleep for about 2 and a half months. You do begin auditory hallucinations, paranoia, and everything seems like a lucid dream, and require pretty heavy medical help, they'll give youthings to make you sleep chemically although they can't force you to take them, the best sleep :is: natural sleep. They also refer you to a psychologist and a psychiatrist almost instantly when you pass the 3 week line, "or at least that's what i was told".
Oddly enough i :am: one of those people who doesn't require much sleep naturally, "my rem cycle is about 35 minutes" I only need about 3 hours for a full recharge, but if i'm bored or have nothing to do i can manage to stay asleep for as much as 13. "i wake up every 3 hours though".

Loud things hurt my head badly, I can hardly listen to music. And I almost never stop listening to music, so I go to sleep.

I can function on less sleep than a lot of people I know, but I do have a limit. When it is reached, I completely lose my ability to focus on anything. Basically I can't function at that point, so I have no choice but to go to bed. Problem is, I can't focus on the need to go to sleep, so I'm basically in a stupor for 30-45 minutes until I snap out of it and go to bed.

I have transient insomnia so satying up for a couple days doesn't really get to me, but after a while I start to get really annoyed very easily by everything such as a small itch or a chair being just a tad uncomfortable. I also can never find something to keep me occupied/entertained when I'm really tired, I just wanna go the hell to bed, but I can't because it'll screw up my sleeping pattern.
