I started to watch the occasional Unskippable and Game Dogs episode. I started posing on the forums. I got a Leopard Gecko and my cat died. I graduated, and ummm... Oh and I found that im "friend-zone" material

I've stopped watching unforgotten realms(was the reason I came here in the 1st place) and started watching zero punctuation and using the forums instead. I've quit world of warcraft, Ive hard to replace my hard-drive, I've lost contact with close friends, I had a very unspectacular 18th birthday revising for a sociology exam, I bought an xbox 360 to go with my PC+PS3 and I got a hamster :)

Nothing much has changed for me, during my join date, other than I got a new dog. Yeah that's all I have to say.

On this site: Max got banned (surprisingly smoothly, since I was expecting the server to burst into flames), Moviebob started his rise here (fun fact, I was a fan long before Escape to the Movies), the Religion and Politics board was formed, IndigoDingo and NoMoreSanity got banned, NeutralDrow started his reviews, lordlee joined (though that only matters to Drow and I), and to end pithily Drow changed his avatar.

In my life: I entered high school, stopped playing football from fitness problems (creating a spiral of self-contempt), tried out wrestling, made a very good friend in surprisingly short time, had a good science class for once, got put on home-bound for hitting someone with a binder (notice how I posted much more frequently from mid-November through December? That's why), ended up leaving wrestling for related reasons, got a PS3 for Christmas, came back to much fanfare (turns out everyone hated that guy), had my Shelty die and my cat go missing (also most likely dead, and he was an awesome cat) had trouble with my English class, and recently got put on homebound again because of that. Ironically, I'm much more of a troublemaker in real life than online.

Now that I think of it, despite my good times here barring a few incidents (arguing with a WH40k fan in a thread titled "ex-japanophiles": not a good idea, and I'm not even getting into that debate), my real life was kind of a mess, and my creepy attachment complex towards Drow (notice how much I mentioned him above?) might have to do with that. I'll stop now before my teenage wangst kills us all.

I learned how to create gifs, found the pleasure of webcomics, improved my typing and helped create the Avatar Design Store with Spoorky111

Since i first visited The Escapist, the site turned from being kind of an weekly online magazine with articles, essays and interviews to a in many ways more conventional site with forums, news, reviews, and, unconventionally, lots of videos.

Of course, there are still the weekly articles and essays

I've learned that high post counts can make some people smug...

In the land of RL... Learned college classes can consist of learning how to right click, oh, and I got accused of cheating because I knew how to put my name in the footer of Access without the teacher showing me how. Hmm... liked a girl, she turned out to be crazy... later ended up being friends with her again and started to like her again, and the same shit happened... Got a job... Oh, and lost faith in religion, and my hatred of Christianity is constantly growing... so, yeah... about sums it all up...

Clearly you've never been (to singapore) on xbox live. (How do I cross things out?)

Things that have happened since I joined the escapist...
Huh.
I'm about to finish high school, my friend left and returned from Sweden on exchange, I got a girlfriend or 3, but only one mattered to me. Witnessed the Aztec ritual of ripping a heart out and tossing a person down a pyramid, saved an additional 6 or so kid's lives at the pool, lost all my friends, stumbled upon some new friends, realized just how nothing ever lives up to expectation, became really cynical, and I'm sure lots more.

I was without a band, starting a music production course and only came here for Zero Punctuation and Unforgotten Realms

Now, Realms is axed, I'm on here far more often and I've found the joys of MovieBob.
I'm about 10 weeks off the end of my course and the looming threat of working in the real music world, and I have a band for at least the next 6 months.

Life: Honestly? Suprisingly little. I went to a music festival, And booked my Bike test.

Ask me in 6 months and i will have had the joys of a 600cc Motorcycle...*crosses fingers*

Esc: Well see'ing how everyone is mentioning it - Max was banned. I didnt notice till a week later. Meant i could only insinuate that he was a midget on twitter. Tis a shame...

Also discovered the insanity that is the Asylum & Priate, And met a couple of escapist members.

Arrr. Started and nearly finished sixth form. Out of one relationship straight into another. Had about 50 bouts of depression. Had singing lessons to improve my voice. And so on...

Oh, and I remember when the layout changed.

Forum wise:

For once, the community changed. The mods are less strict than I remember. Saw the birth of the forum games, the rise of the "postcounts", The inclusion of 80% of the video series, the recent lack of the Escapist show and many many other things.

Life wise:

Girlfriends, break ups, university, live outside of hometown and met some new friends.

Well, they got rid of Unforgotten Realms and replaced it with 'Game Dogs'.
That does not make me happy.

Well way way back when I used to just lurk there were some (now banned) controversial characters...... no longer with us except in memory.

I remember before furburt became the towering monolith he is today. I remember TheNecroSwanson. I remember when this site was not half as big as today.

Life wise? I don't have a life. Pah.

Hehe I've never been on Xbox Live at all :p I take it things are pretty bad on it? (I watch a lot of video's of nerd rage on it though, those are pretty funny)
