And then Hiroshima and Nagasaki was blown to bits and pieces by the Americans with a weapon the Nazis found too evil to use.....

(This is very broad and loose as it's taken directly from memory but the point is still there >>)
Indeed, and if we and the Soviets had decided to invaded the Japanese mainland, and cause a conflict that could have very well led to the extermination of the Japanese people, that would have been the ethical option.
America was sure they were going to win in Vietnam, and I find that hilarious.
The fact that your statement uses incorrect grammar and has no relevance to the topic, immediately devalidates it as an insult. Try harder next time.

Mexico... Mexico...
Well, you got to steal from us for centuries. Spain, the pirates that stole from Spain and gave it to other countries, the US, France, etc. Happy, now?

Before anyone bashes me, I know Mexico didn't do a good job at defending it in the first place, but it's hard to not hate the fact that a lot of things that were initially part of a country get taken from it willy nilly like a two cent whore.

And as for the Spanish side...

We are developing some of the best green energy programs ever. Most of our energy is considered green at the moment. That's pretty good, I think.

Lots and lots of enslavement of Africans, to sell for profit in the New World. You're welcome.

Indonesia (they united to overthrow their colonialist overlords, after all).

The idea that a nation can be founded not on divine right to rule or the will of the people, but sheer unbridled greed and capitalism. Also on that note, multinational corporations, stock markets, bubbles and busts. Again, welcome, especially for that last one.

Philips invented most things between vinyl records and mp3s.

ECGs and artifical kidneys, also micro- and telescopes, Wikipedia tells me.

Australia and New Zealand, most of Oceania really.

EDIT: How appropriate my post number is.

hmm... invented personal computers and the interwebs? and iphones.... so yeah, we're responsible for the downfall of civilization.
The computer was invented by an Italian man called Babage. It was more a cogitator engine though which was a crank powered computer for math.

[Edit] Also, Ireland invented the surname.
right... that's why I used the term "personal computer", as in, the kind of widely distributed computer for the general public.
Doesn't change the fact that Babage's cogitator was a personal computer. A personal computer is one you own or use.

To be fair. It were the Africans that enslaved one another, and sold their fellow man to the Dutch. Actually catching slaves themselves took too much time. Better to buy them off ambitious chieftains who wanted to get rid of rivals.

That last is not true, either. Although it's certainly en vogue to revision the past with modern evils in mind.

Things "The Netherlands" (including the Republic of the Seven United Provinces) did:
-Keep the balance of power in Europe, by aligning Europe against Louis XIV and his conquering tendencies.
-Starting the second Revolutionary movement in the world, after the American War of Independence, and before the French Revolution, although that one, sadly, was crushed by conservative Prussia.
-Discovered stuff.
-Supported the American rebels by smuggling arms.
-Remained sensible when the entire world screamed for the Kaiser's head, and Wilhelmina of Orange said "Nee." She allowed Kaiser Wilhelm II to live in the Netherlands, keeping him safe from rabid victor's justice.

Let's see.

China gave you gun powder, compass, rockets, civil service exams, paper, and printing press. So yes, they gave you the means to sack China.

European society would have completely collapsed after the fall of the Roman Empire if it weren't for Irish monks.

We, the British, invented or discovered vaccination, the World Wide Web, the computer, calculus, Newtonian mechanics, the production line, the structure of DNA, DNA fingerprinting, the atomic clock, the pencil, electromagnetic induction, television, the telegraph, solar panels, the RSA cipher (invented by GCHQ 3 years before its discovery at MIT), the diesel engine, trains, the fire extinguisher, anaesthetic, mosquitoes as a vector for malaria, blood transfusion, cinematography, chemistry, the theory of evolution, aluminium, meteorology, the jet engine, parachutes, the seatbelt, traffic lights, plastic, an effective method of creating steel, the MRI scanner, and many, many more.

All worthwhile and in some cases life-saving discoveries, I'm sure you'll agree.

not quite... a computer made for personal use is not a personal computer. meaning... he made all of, what, 2 of these machines? a "PC" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_computer] is designed to be compact, cheap, and available for wide distribution to the masses. Babage's difference engine was not this. we can argue semantics, but his engine does not fit the description. under your interpretation, the Antikythera Mechanism [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanism] would have been the first...

perhaps this is the semantical problem... "the US invented the first SUCCESSFUL Personal Computer", meaning that it was the first to actually fully realize the definition of what a PC is. "maybe", given time and money, Babage could have distributed his machine or miniaturized it some, but the case still stands that it was unsuccessful on a wide scale level.

What has the USA given the world? A taste of true freedom.
Ah freedom, free to... not make a decision on your national debt that will cause you to default and become the financial equivalent of a drug addict. No America, we will not give you another fix. You hurt Chinas feelings and vomited on Europes shoes!

Quite frankly, we find your right-wing rhetoric to be distasteful and we can all plainly see that its the reason you are going down the tubes... enjoy your "freedom" which you claimed to have the entire time it was being taken away from you, "god" forbid you stop saying "USA #1" long enough to realise you are being brainwashed into thinking what you have is the best and you couldnt possibly be better or that the rest of the civilized world passed you by years ago.
Bad troll is bad.
Are you a child? You are aware that simply claiming someone is a "troll" is dismissive and the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling "LALALALALA!", you gain nothing from it and only show that you are immature and incapable of countering my point.
