So I have one of those Stumble Upon buttons in my browser, and I came across this: http://elitechoice.org/2009/02/12/squid-london-hydro-chromatic-umbrella-it-changes-colour-when-wet/

For those of you who don't click the link:

An umbrella that changes colour when you get it wet.

This made me go "Wut?" Seriously, this is crazy. Who thought that was an awesome idea?

So what I ask you is, what crazy ass, backwards contraption have you found?

I....What?!
That's awesome!
But, sadly, I don't know of anything of the likes. Other than the Snuggie, of course. :D

Man, I was just going to go dig this up.

Yes, I believe you win. You stole what I was going to contribute.

First, "Why?" is most definately a good question. However, the proper and obvious response is "because it's awesome." This doesn't hurt anyone, is cool, and is thus a win for science.

That sounds highly uncomfortable. With no breathing room...

Most people i know learnt of them that way, and i did too. But it was a year after my brother had bought one. He tried drinking beer out of the front pocket with a straw, it totally worked.

Why wouldn't you want a color changing umbrella?

Do you even know what one can achieve with such power?!

Speaking of umbrellas, I just so happen to have one shaped like a katana sitting in the corner of my room.
How do you know it's not just a katana shaped like an umbrella?
