I've got a scar on my forehead from running into a table leg as a kid. Had to have an adult molar out after cracking it in half. I also have dents in the side of my head from wearing glasses for the better part of 15 years.

Well let's see. Cut up my left thumb pretty bad in an accident at work. Though still mostly functional it's left a permanently 'numb' spot on the top of my thumb, as well as some reduced strength when grabbing stuff. I have shinsplints. One of those little wristbones in my right wrist broke years ago without me noticing and has later become dislocated, hurts like fuck from time to time, especially in certain positions (for instance I have to do push-ups on my fists instead of a flat hand). I pierced my own lip once when I was 16, enjoyed it for a few years, got rid of it, but even though it's been gone for 5 years the hole is still quite visible. No tattoos as of yet, though I have been planning to get some for over 10 years. Broke a tooth, twice. Survived a pretty bad car accident involving several rolls and a 6 ft fall without a scratch on me though.

Let's see...

A plastic tooth after having one punched out during a football (soccer) game in school.

Some small scars across my forearms/hands from slipping with knives, falls, scratches and other assorted shenanigans.

Faint clicking from a messed up bone in my toes. I got mad from a failed test, kicked a locker and promptly got it cracked. Fuck.

My liver got itself a beating a few times too, i had a jaundiced eyes for a time because i used sleeping pills and painkillers for headaches. It can still appear if i've been drinking.

I plan on permanently scarring myself with ink across my upper arm. Just a question of money now.

My left arm remains scarred from immolation six years ago.
Nothing disfiguring, just looks different to the right arm.
Noticeable to nobody but me. Nice to share it anonymously :)

I broke my ankle, I lacerated my knuckle (middle finger, left hand, punched a wall in the bathroom, there was a hole), broke my humerus (left arm, snapped the head off, skiing accident), and I recently had my wisdom teeth removed, yesterday to be specific. Oh, I also had to have surgery for testicular torsion. Yes, it was painful, the surgery wasn't though, I went under general anesthesia. I think that covers it...

Hiya escapists.

Do you have a tattoo or a piercing?
Do you have several?
Have you permanently (or nearly permanently) damaged one of your toes?

In other words: Have you managed to change your body in some way? If so, how did it happen and why?
Something is wrong with my left wrist. Don't know what it is. Don't know how to cure it. I can't lift manuals, and I need to be wary of it when playing my instruments.
It was probably caused by my not warming up before playing the bass for a year, in addition to the horrible positioning of my hand when I played.

I sprained my right thumb while playing basketball. Five months later, the bloody thing still isn't healed.

Eight years of braces and similar stuff has probably changed my facial structure quite a bit from how it was supposed to end up. (11 mm of overbite)

Then there are the random scars and poc-marks scattered on my body.
Your turn
I have 4 missing teeth, 2 entirely gone 2 reduced to stubs which flare up occasionally but I endure as I am to cheap to waste the $400+ on even a standard dental checkup, many layers of fatty tissues and for some reason two floating chips of bone under my skin one in my right elbow which I sometimes play with using my free hand while driving, and and one just below the end knuckle of my left ring finger which I think I must of got when i broke the finger aged 8 or so thats it really.

Permanent damage only, eh?

I broke one of my toes by stubbing it on something metal REALLY hard...and now it healed kinda crooked.

And that's about it. I've been pretty damn lucky IMO.

My Appendix also exploded and littered my insides with gunk so thats now gone along with the scars on my stomach where they did the keyhole surgery besides that.. a scar on my thumb where i managed to give it a good slice with a catfood tin, a scar when one of my first cats scratched my nose, a bump in a fingernail when i badly infected it due to biting my nails years ago (i was lucky to not even lose a nail when i was at risk of losing the entire finger) besides that stretch marks is probably my worst scars along my lower section.. my body kinda went BOOM at puberty :p

I have many scars on undisclosed part of my body. They aren't as cool as they sound. Most of them look like acne from a distance. Sigh.

On my 21st birthday I broke my collarbone, and was too busy getting loaded again the next morning to see a doctor or anything so it set slightly uneven
Exactly this... what are the odds...

I have over time due to the sheer laziness of not moving much gotten fat despite not eating much. But other than getting fat there is nothing I've done to my body.
Same with me actually, I have very few visual scars, have no piercings or tattoos. I should get off my ass sometime.

I have nothing! I broke a bone once when I was younger but that was it. I also busted up my knee a tiny bit playing pick up football with friends a few years ago. However, aside from that, I am the picture of perfect health.
