Well, I'm sure this thread has been done before, but not today it hasn't (I think).

The date is/was 2/18/2011 (18/2/2011 for our non-American forum posters). What have you accomplished today? Feel free to toot your own horn. This is a feelgood thread. What have you done today that made you proud of yourself?

If you did nothing of any importance, that's cool too.

I just want to hear all of the amazing feats of wonder any of us escapists have accomplished.

I'll start: Today, February 18, 2011, I did absolutely nothing of any importance.

Well, I've been sick since yesterday, so...
Not much really.
I went through a box of tissues and two jugs of orange juice.
I suppose that's an accomplishment.

I finished creating a game I was working on, and then proceeded to bet on NBA 2k11 games with my friends.

Earlier today I kicked the ass of Red in Pokemon Gold and all of my pokemon where still in their 60's. Sure I may have used type advantages but that is still damn impressive in my opinion. Good day.

cured cancer.....got paid to destroy cure.....blew up lab.......blamed a Bunsen burner.....freed the lab animals.....got attacked by monkey that i freed...it stole my pants with my wallet.....it charged up a lot of booze and mangoes (apparently bananas are to vanilla for him)......came home and used my payoff money to pay the credit card off.....and went to sleep.....






so really not a whole lot of anything mostly read the newspaper and played some games had a weird dream then logged into the Escapist...

Found a place for my light saber. I have a katana hanging above my closet so I put the light saber on my TV.
Read a book.
Watched shows.
Stalked the Escapist Forums.
Spoke to my friend on MSN who is currently in Thailand.

And going to go play Monday Night Combat because steam being the piece of crap it is doesn't like installing TF2

The day is February 18th, 2011.

The place, an empty parking garage structure (four levels high plus a basement).

Twelve mere college freshman entered with skates, sticks, helmets, and two with pads. between them they carried a net. the air was warm as the sun broke out behind the clouds, and they set up in the empty level, ready to play.

The Man, as some know him to be emeraldrafael, others Anthony, but all who have played with/against him as simply He. This man, sporting the hunter green shirt, bearing the golden number three on the back, a golden C on his breast, and the last name some shudder to even whisper, would make his name be known today.

The Event that sealed him into legacy, A natural hat trick, along with the Gordie how for good measure in his team's 10-0 shut out.


So yeah, I scored three goals in hockey in a row, then an assist, another goal, and a got a fight a my team shut out the other, 10-0. Plus my mom came down to visit me at college, and I got to hang with her.

I got to escort the guest speaker who came to talk about Francophone Africa to the classroom.
I also played some New Vegas, and answered a few questions on Free Rice.

Not a whole lot, but the confidence my French teacher put in me was really uplifting.

Oh yeah! I started reading Journey to the West, too. That book is awesome.

I got up at 5:00 AM, and went to a tennis tournament until just now (10:30 PM).

I played some Dragon Age, and then I went to help build the set for our school production of The Miracle Worker. I broke a power saw. Good times.

It was 03:52 GMT on the 19th of Feb when you posted.

Anyway today I coached a rag tag group of boys to a 1st place victory against other teams from their school (Well, they placed first in the mini tournament but I've been coaching them since last year.)

But that wasn't my achievement it was theirs... so I didn't do a hell of a lot. I'm working tonight, maybe I'll meet someone famous?
