I went to heat up a sort of a family house, for the 3rd day in a row, that's been cold and unattended for a few months. Bettered a couple Portal challenges.

Yesterday I woke up, went to labs, found out that the lab technicians had broken the cell lysis machine (which is really important for my experiment), which meant I could get out of labs at 1p.m instead of 6-7 p.m, found out I got paid, went to town with a friend of mine, bought "Golden sun: Dark dawn" on the Nintendo DS for £20 (yay for sales), bought a birthday card for my mum, went home, played Golden sun, napped, ate something, then studied the action of beta lactam antibiotics for about 5-6 hours.

It wasn't a bad day yesterday, actually :)

Well, i woke up an hour ago. So basically haven't done anything besides skimming trough the Escapist.
But yesterday was much more fun. Finally got some time to play L4D2, played versus with a few pals, dominated the other team, a lot of ragequits. But that's not the fun part btw. I had an extremely close call with surviving a map. And i mean, REALLY close. Got a bit of a rush. Loved it.

Finished watching Serial Experiment's Lain after working like a dog for 8 hours, now my brain needs time to stop fizzling.
Did you like it? or understand it?

It's my favorite show of all time you see...<.<

I liked it after I finished watching it, I disliked watching it but I appreciated the artistic value after watching it, if that makes sense. Based off what I've seen there are many ways people could 'get it'. Seeing as the creators themselves admit to it not having a central idea, I suppose I 'got it' but I didn't get 'it' because 'it' is unique to each person. So yeah, I liked it and understood 'it' in my own way.

PS I will never listen to a dead phone or humming wires the same way again :)

I got ya... sadly most people just label it as nonsensical bullshit and leave at that... the first time I watched it, it completely blew my mind even if I didn't completely understand it the art, the imagery, the setting, the story, the themes, and the intrigue were more than enough to make me go out and buy it... than I watched it a few more times and the plot just kept opening up more and more and even still I have to watch it in one sitting or else I can't concentrate on anything else... I'm planning on ordering the Blu Ray when I get the money... all $300...<.<

It does appeal to a very specific group. Besides, it is kinda meaningless to say you didn't understand it, as mentioned the creators do not know what it is about. So there is no measure as to whether you understood it, what you got from it when you watched is it. In a sense, you've always understood it, your just coming to terms with that as you repeat watches. I got a friend in Japan who has the Blu Ray copy, he showed it to me and I can tell you that it is not worth it if you've already got it on DVD. Very minor differences, especially if you plan on dropping $300 US(?)

I took over the world, twice. I ate some food. I considered playing MGS4. I played a little Legends of Dragoon. I got upset at Star Ocean: The Second Story. I took over Japan.

Haha, I'm ashamed I had to check the spoiler.

OT: Woke up, went for a skate, began coursework on the theory of author-centered reader approaches and watched Anchorman again.
Also,
Learned, in a comical manner, that AccursedTheory touched himself

let's see...
woke up at around 10 AM,
played some minecraft
had a shower,
got dressed,
went to uni,
was MAJORLY disappointed by the fact that our workgroup for political geography has the teacher who is both more boring and less capable of speaking proper english than the other one is.
fell hard for an insanely hot english exchange student who can melt my knees simply by talking,
went home again,
played LBP2,
had pizza,
Played WoW/Minecraft/BlOps
watched harry potter 3 (mostly)
and then 0:00 rolled around, so everything I did after that falls under today and therefore it has no place in this thread :D

Today, February 19th.
I have woken up, had a shower, eaten a bacon roll for breakfast, am preparing lunch and have logged into the Escapist.
