What have you nicknamed your pokemon so far this gen?

I never nickname my pokemon, never ever ever ever.

I can't stand when I see a nicknamed pokemon, those npc trades are the worst and I refuse to do it just because of it.

My friends have been refused trades because the pokemon they were going to trade had nicknames.

Bronzong
Starmie
Mewtwo
Scizor

All with their original names.

Btw, I have no idea why I have this unnatural hate for nicknames on pokemon but I have had it since the beginning

I find myself being quite the opposite. I refuse trades that don't have nicknames as I find it as bad as sending me a puppy that's named (and will only respond to) Puppy, thus I try to only trade with those who will either personally name them or give me a choice in what I'd like to call it beforehand. I even apply that to Wonder Trades, have nickname-will keep, no nickname-will trade off until I get one that does. I don't even like my special Torchick because, unlike the Lucario you get, you can't nickname it. The level 15 Keldeo from B2 is the only exception, so far, to my dislike of unnamed trade Pokemon.

I don't really nickname my Pokemon during my first play through of well any Pokemon game

I'm kinda in that same boat... However, whenever I do catch the same Pokemon twice (usually on "accident"), I nickname one of them and the one that's not nicknamed get to go training with me...

Anyway, the best nickname I have given so far (coming straight from my copy of Emerald) is Niggaro... I want to name one of the new Pokemon I re-catch this nickname, but I have yet to decide which one would get the honor of this "awesome" name...

Other than that, I might just ending up forming a post-game team and nickname them all Steve... and if you know what I'm talking about, then you know why I choose the nickname them all Steve...

They're named after various mythological creatures, mostly taken because I've seen them while playing SMT games recently. For example, my Mewostic is named 'Cait Sidhe' while my Hawlucha is named 'Camazotz' and so on. I chose to name Yveltal 'Nyx'. Seemed appropriate.

I tried to nickname every Pokemon I caught, but that got old after I beat the Elite Four and got to work filling the Pokedex. Here's my team that I used through most of the game:

Greninja - Thane
Charizard - Blaze
Gogoat - Triss
Pangoro - Mogar
Talonflame - Saria
Lucario - Alistair

I had two fire/flying and two fighting types on my team. It killed me inside.

When I play a new Pokemon game, with a new generation I tend to not nickname any of them on my first playthrough, so I get to know their actual names.
But the names for the X & Y pokemon are really rubbish.
