I bought Puzzle Kingdoms for a dollar. :)

I got my friend the oddworld pack too, when that was a one-day-only thing.

Like seemingly everyone else, Torchlight, and Crysis, which I was surprised to find worked OK on my computer! These sales are awesome, but I can't help thinking I'm going to lose a lot of money on steam this summer.

I've bought the Oddworld Pack and Ghost Master because it was 57p. I'm debating whether or not to buy the first Left 4 Dead at the moment but I can't decide.

The THQ pack and Mass Effect (Though I can't remember if Mass Effect was part of the summer sale or some other sale).

I already owned some of these and re-bought them for convenience because I have them on disk format or through another online store, or was forced to re-buy them because they were in the Squeenix pack and I'd gotten them separately.

Also gifted a few games to poor friends.

I am really glad I did not pick up some of these before... especially Just Cause 2, and the expansions Semper Fi and Tropico 3 Absolute Power. I'd have felt really screwed over now otherwise.

I'm waiting for a few more deals.

Nothing yet, I already have all the games that I want off of Steam. I thought about getting the THQ pack though, that's a sick deal.

My friend just recently built a new PC, so I informed him about some of the deals. He picked up L4D2 for $10, Mass Effect for $5, and ME2 for $25.

It's quite fun, and a lot deeper than just run and gun zombie shooter, it's possible the best and most refined co-op experience that exists on the market.

It's made by the team within Valve that made Counterstrike, only now has a VERY strong team element. Wander off or lag behind and you are in for a world of pain, and its co-dependence is satisfying as you help others and are helped yourself. All the time there are scenarios where you stand no chance on your own yet fighting together you kick ass.

For example, when this giant monster zombie - called a Tank - attacks if everyone runs away in separate directions the tank will chase after each one, and easily kill each of you one at a time. But if you all stand your ground and all empty your weapons into the hugely Muscular tank then you will defeat it easily... but only if no one chickens out and abandons their friends.

It's great to play online and EVEN BETTER to play with friends when everyone has mics. You get some great banter going.

Really, there are very few games out there that do this, online co-op against thousands of AI enemies. It's hard to make any comparison.

So far, just Mass Effect 2. I might pick up some more games later just because the bargains are so good, but I don't like spending money for the sake of spending money. I got Mass Effect 2 because I was planning to get it anyway, and Steam just so happened to put it on sale right when I wanted it.
