What Hogwarts house do you think you'd be in?

To be honest, I'm not a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter series. At the same time I'm really interested in certain concepts introduced in the books such as the Hogwarts houses.

After much thought, I personally consider myself a Slytherin.
On one hand, I feel like the Ravenclaw atmosphere full of quirky and academic people would fit me perfectly but at the same time I feel like I align myself with the core Slytherin beliefs. I'd like to think that I'm extremely ambitious, determined, and achievement-oriented. I'm also quite selfish and slightly manipulative. I'm slightly less cunning and leadership material but I'm disregarding that.

Anyway, I'm slightly curious what house do you think you'd be in if you went to Hogwarts and why?

According to Pottermore and most quizzes I've done I'm a thorough Ravenclaw, which I think suits me well since I've always been academically minded and very interested in widening my field of knowledge. Second would be Slytherin since I'm not particularly brave or friendly towards other people although I do work hard which is a quality of Hufflepuff, but this alone is not enough to override my Ravenclaw tendencies, nor is my ambition which isn't as strong as my thirst for knowledge.

Almost certainly Ravenclaw... All the others seems like they require commitment to shit, and I'm way to lazy for that noise. I'm only motivated by things that I like or am interested in, like science, philosophy, music, or video games XD

Slytherin, without a doubt. They're kind of portrayed as evil, and I think they mention that they produce the most evil wizards and witches.

Though if it wasn't for the Chivalry, I'd fit pretty well with Gryffindor too.

Probably would end up in either Gryffindor or Raven Claw, more likely the latter, but would not comfortably fit in with any of the four.

Hufflepuff tends to be too... complacent. Hard workers to be sure, but they tend to fail to be creative or seek a challenge.

Raven Claws are intellectuals at heart. While my interests are similar, I desire to get out and DO something with the knowledge.

Gryiffindors wouldn't like me due to my "ends justify the means" attitude. There is very little I would not do if I felt it was worth the cost.

As for Slytherin... In spite of the previous, power and personal gain are not principle goals of mine, and I tend to despise most that seek it out.

I think people tend to regard Slytherin in ways that are never really depicted in the books or even the movies. They're never portrayed as evil. They're just assholes, bullies out of a John Hughes movie. The three most prominent people from that house are a weak, cowardly, snivelly kid and his posse of idiot goons. Hardly the gothy cynics everybody paints them to be.

Oh in pretty much any quiz for this sort of thing I tend to end up in ol' Hufflepuff. Always a decent person to trust but will end up as less then a side character. It is not a bad role for one who doesn't want the spotlight anyway.

I'd guess Ravenclaw, since I usually put academics above all else, including friends. If there's an assignment due and they're asking me to go out for the weekend, even if I still have a good week before it's due, I'll choose to stay at home to complete it. Work, then play, as it were. I care deeply about results.

If not them, it would be Hufflepuff. I'm not brave at all, nor am I ruthless (or determined, for a slightly less Slytherins'-are-evil view). And I guess I'm good at.... finding things.

I would probably be in Hufflepuff. I don't know why it has such a bad rep. It's not like being in certain house means you lack the qualities of the other houses. It just shows which quality you priorities, and I think common decency is a pretty noble thing to prioritise. What's the point of bravery or intelligence without compassion.

I don't remember the houses all that well, but I'm pretty sure neither of them were Hufflepuff, so that narrows it down.

In all seriousness, Pottermore dropped me in Gyffindor when it mistook my natural curiosity for bravery, but I just don't identify with the key traits of Gryffindor as much as I do those of Ravenclaw. Besides, I'm too introverted to take on the leadership roles that are generally associated with Gryffindor. I think a more studious environment would fit me better.
