My laptop is not meant for gaming at all. My Dad sent it to me for college. So, I can't really hate the laptop for its purposeful limitations.
The thing is it's gone through some things. I accidentally spilled tomato soup on it. I was lying down on my back, my laptop on my stomach and in one of my lazier moments, I inched upward and grabbed the soup from the desk above. Then, I let it slip and it got all over my laptop. To make it worse, I did not do what you're supposed to do in those situations. So, I made it worse. And my warranty was terrible, so I'm convinced they didn't do anything besides clean it out at the probably even less than the bare optimal minimum and replace the hard drive. In fact, most of the time I sent it in (I had to send it in multiple times), when it came back I was pretty convinced all they did was replace the hard drive, which was never the problem. So, I hate my laziness and my now expired warranty.
If I buy a new game it has to be on the lower end of last gen spectrum and set to the lowest settings. I just bought Arkham Origins at what it's actually worth, a 80% discount...well maybe that's a bit too unfair to it and I had to set everything to minimum AND change some things in the files like smooth frame rate and what version of DirectX it's using. I still only get 22 FPS on average. If my laptop was in its prime I could play it at 30 FPS. Sigh.
A more legitimate complaint about something directly related to my laptop is probably that the charger AC adapter gets so damn hot. Yeah, I'm not talking about the laptop itself though it heats up as well. It's crazy. I don't get how or why it gets so hot. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to. Plus, whenever the charger gets unplugged my laptop has to beep loudly just like your consoles OP. I know I can turn off this feature, but I've never bothered despite how annoying it gets to me and everyone around me.
