I can't think of any problem I have on PC that I didn't have on a console that is not outweighed by the positives.

Oh, wait..."Java update availible". About to shoot a guy in tf2, hit left-click- ALT-TABBED. Java update available, even though there is none!

As for PC it's fine MOST of the time but I do get random blue screens of death every now and then...
Check your motherboard for blown caps, or try re-seating your RAM.

If neither of those work, try running a checkdisk to make sure your hard drive doesn't have any bad sectors.

OT: I get particularly frustrated with my PC when a game I buy doesn't work because of some bullshit incompatibility with some hardware component in my PC. *Cough cough* Doom3 BFG *cough cough*

I never realized how many scary noises Gen 7 consoles made until recently when I was able to get mine in my own room, and I automatically think any weird noise plus electronics means something is wrong but no it is just the normal sound of operation. Still gets me every time though.

I don't think the 360 beeps, it makes a hideous shriek as the fans turn on. My PlayStation 3 is really loud with it's beep though.

Ok, my 360's fan system is typical (I think) so it's loud. It doesn't disrupt my gameplay but ugh, I don't like it. I hate my PlayStation 3's beep and it's interface. Granted I only just got my PlayStation 3 like last month so that can change with time.

For my PC, it's when it randomly freezes. A friend of mine can usually take care of that problem, but until then, it's such a pain.

I haven't got anything to say about my PS3 for the moment. The only real inconvenience I can think of is when I'm looking for a great Sony classic on the PS Network and it's not for sale. A real pain since you can't just get them on Steam the way you can with most Microsoft products.

My laptop is not meant for gaming at all. My Dad sent it to me for college. So, I can't really hate the laptop for its purposeful limitations.

The thing is it's gone through some things. I accidentally spilled tomato soup on it. I was lying down on my back, my laptop on my stomach and in one of my lazier moments, I inched upward and grabbed the soup from the desk above. Then, I let it slip and it got all over my laptop. To make it worse, I did not do what you're supposed to do in those situations. So, I made it worse. And my warranty was terrible, so I'm convinced they didn't do anything besides clean it out at the probably even less than the bare optimal minimum and replace the hard drive. In fact, most of the time I sent it in (I had to send it in multiple times), when it came back I was pretty convinced all they did was replace the hard drive, which was never the problem. So, I hate my laziness and my now expired warranty.

If I buy a new game it has to be on the lower end of last gen spectrum and set to the lowest settings. I just bought Arkham Origins at what it's actually worth, a 80% discount...well maybe that's a bit too unfair to it and I had to set everything to minimum AND change some things in the files like smooth frame rate and what version of DirectX it's using. I still only get 22 FPS on average. If my laptop was in its prime I could play it at 30 FPS. Sigh.

A more legitimate complaint about something directly related to my laptop is probably that the charger AC adapter gets so damn hot. Yeah, I'm not talking about the laptop itself though it heats up as well. It's crazy. I don't get how or why it gets so hot. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need to. Plus, whenever the charger gets unplugged my laptop has to beep loudly just like your consoles OP. I know I can turn off this feature, but I've never bothered despite how annoying it gets to me and everyone around me.

Once every few months my laptop will just shut down, instantly and without the slightest warning. No "Windows is Shutting Down" or closing of programs, the screen just goes black, like the battery has been removed. It might be causing a lot of damage each time it happens, but it's just not something I can be bothered to send my laptop to a repair shop for.

Other than that? It annoys me that my 3DS has a God awful battery life, and that I find the alternative 3DS XL to have an incredibly blurred screen so that's hardly an option.

My PC works fine most of the time, but right now it's just being... weird. I cannot connect a call on Skype, nor can I hang up to one, Battlefield 4 wont connect a game, constantly displaying "joining game", but nothing actually happens, and my PC now takes about 20 minutes to turn off, before promptly rebooting itself like the asshole that it has become. Also I now have to play taxing games with the side panel off as my cooling isn't that great. And all of this happened within the last week. Great.

Oh, and my chair leans too far back. That is really irritating.

One drawback of having a nice computer that I didn't anticipate: it pushes heat out like crazy. I can make my small apartment into a sauna by just playing anything with my girlfriend.

My rather bouncy active puppy jumped on me, spilled water on my laptop that isn't made for gaming. Actually one of the reasons I am NOT a Pc gamer is because I have an old 9 year, desktop replacement laptop. But the thing just doesn't have enough power. And these days if I do anything slight to make it somewhat above normal temperature it overheats.

Anyway before I digress here. My puppy pounced on me, when I was drinking water. The water bottle launched out of my hand and onto my laptop. What I did was:

-Blow Dry it out, yeah it sounds horrible, but people online legitmately said to blow dry it
-Hang it upside down overnight
-Blow dry it the next day
-If there is still water, hang it upside down again
-Then stuff it into some rice

^I am being serious. My laptop still stands testimant to this method that worked. Its been dying so I don't really blame the water on that one.

Oh, hey, you're gaming on me? Cool, cool, cool. Look, I really need you to know that there's icons on your desktop that aren't being used. Like, seriously, you can remove them. Never mind that half your desktop is clear and you don't need more space for icons, you can remove them. What's that, you wanted to immerse yourself in this fantasy world to get away from reality for a few minutes? No, no, no. You NEED to know about these icons. Like, right now. Seriously, it's important.

Oh, if you're making a suggestion for me for any hypothetical next time I luckily learnt my lesson. I knew SOME of what I should have done when it happened (this was like 2 years ago anyway), but I was too busy panicking.

That method is indeed largely a good thing to do; some of it is debatable. It's good to learn how to comfortably take apart your laptop too whenever you're having problems in case you end up with a terrible warranty like I had. Then you can see if there is anything you can do inside.

I wish the PS3 charger cable was longer. And that you got 2 instead of 1, specially if you're getting 2 controllers.
I also wish the PS2 had an official wireless controller as opposed to crappy third party controllers.

I hate how every online gaming service has it's default set as "constantly flash notifications at me and make noise." Also, I hate how every online gaming service lets everyone else know when you're online and what you're doing. To my knowledge Origin is actually the only one that lets you sign in as invisible.

Is it update 1 of 1 by any chance?, I've been getting that every single night I shut mine down for the past 2 months at least, something definitely feels off to me and I've ran all sorts of scans that turned up nada and my system apparently seems ok =/.

I've also tried looking it up as some sort of problem but I've yet to find any conclusive data.

i hate all system message bleeps and bloops
i hate loud error dings
i hate flashing icons telling me something new happened
i hate that certain software, like flash, always tries to burden me with other crap i don't want, like mcaffee, whenever it updates
i hate that the windows updates default to restarting without my permission in a few minutes
i hate unnecessary software that opens on start-up

Things I hate about my computer, ohh where to start. Well there's how it seems to burn out every new RAM chip I put in it, how the graphics card occasionally crashes and I get a black screen for a few seconds before it recovers (though admittedly that's not happened in a while). The keyboard wobbles... because its missing a leg and I propped it up with a copy of galactic civilizations 2... because I kinda raged and did a hulk smash when playing XCOM once... Also it sometime makes loud clunking noises and the fans speed up like a 747 taking off when I put in anything intensive.

But honestly most of thats either my fault or because its ancient, its like 4+ years old now and I've used it almost every day,I'm suprised it still works this well, and I'll probably miss it when it eventually goes, give it a funeral pyre and everyhing.

But I don't see why I can't use this opportunity to rag on my pet peeve, Smartphones! Ohh sure, I don't really like all you unwashed console plebs :p But at least you're better than the filthy casual hipsters and their infernal devices, smartphones ruin everything! Anything that gets optimised for them is shittier for everyone else (windows 8 anyone) And while ports between consoles and PC may or may not be crap, with smartphone ports its a garantee *coughdeusexthefallcough* I say you can stick your bloody smartphones where there ain't no sun, they're small enough, and they vibrate. :p
