What I want too see in Killzone.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge killzone fan. I've loved the games and concepts since the first one on the PS2, something about the presentation and its style. One side of humans enduring hardships on their planet for many years aswell as angry about being kicked off their homeworld due to a disease, and the other that is an army of men we all could relate too.

But the game seems too simply show that ISA's side of the story (the ones we can relate too, unless you can't seem to follow up on this stuff). How their having a hard time in the war and getting killed alot, and wanna just go home and see their families. Or some of them simply being jar-heads wanting to kill (Rico). Yet they never play off the Heleghasts side of the story. The game makes them out to be these evil, sub-humans. Yeah their ruthless and bitter, but can ya blame them? They got sent to a sink-hole of a planet, and had too live hard lives. I'd be full of piss and vinager if I were in that situation too. And the ones that ARE really the bad guys are their rulers Like Visari or those other war-hungry generals.

All I'm saying is I think Killzone 3 Would have done alot better If they had shown a little bit of the helghasts side of the story, show what its like to live there, how their people and culture is. Maybe follow a soldier who has a hard time following his ruthless commanders orders. And shown that their all the same, Just soldiers, fighting for what they believe is right.

Anyone else ever thought about this?

Agreed. The Helghast in general seem much more interesting than the ISA, who seem to be comprised almost entirely of cliche bromance douchebags.

Haha exactly. The first game had some alright character development, but even then they had Hacka, a half-helghast/half-ISA member on their team.

I Just feel like they could have made amuch more interesting story, Maybe they'll touch up on it with a spin off in the future.

Isn't that one a PS3 Only? I've never gotten a chance to play it. I saw my friend play it on a full HD tv. The graphics are fan-tastic, and the character models look siiiick!

As such Killzone 3 was an immense improvement over Killzone 2. Carrying up to 3 guns was a big yes for me and I actually liked how the Move handled on it, and overall it just wasnt a slog of cover based combat like its predecessor.

Id still like to see alt fires on the guns. I still dont know why they were removed for 2.

Still im much more interested in the Helghast than the ISA. Perhaps a spinoff title where you play as them is in order.

Yeah I agree, everything about the gameplay felt highly polished, and the game looks great. And I still have yet to try the Move on it.

Haha I honestly completly forgot about the Alt Fires, the helghast assualt rifle had a shotgun blast didnt it? No Idea why they took that stuff out. It almost feels like they got a completly new teams to make the 2nd game.

I really want a Helghast campaign. If you read more of the backstory, you realize that the ISA are actually pretty much the evil ones. Also, Rico is a dick, how can you be on the same side as that ass and think your the good guys?

Right? The ISA just banished them from their home planet and sent them to Helghan.

Also Rico Is pretty much the whole reason the wars still going on, When he killed Visari. So thousands more ISA and Helghast both died cuz of him

At the end of the game, the "Heroes" take Stahl's super weapon he planned to use on Earth, and target Stahl's ship with it. Unfortunately, this has the side effect of causing the complete genocide of the Helghast, save for a few survivors from the wreckage of their fleet.

That's right, to prevent the "bad guys" from using a superweapon on Earth, they instead target billions of enemy non combatants, and annihilate an entire culture.

I still havn't beaten Killzone 3 So I wont be clicking that spoiler...

But I TOTALLY agree, it could be one of the better games on the market if it did that. Screw the meatheads of ISA.

I heard that they were orginally gonna add in one level at the end of killzone 2 where you played as a helghast. Suppose to be on of the slower paced levels in the game.

I kind of got excited at the beging of Killzone3. Thought I was actually a helghast.
