What if all online comments were spoken instead of typed?

Lets say that whenever commenting on a forum thread, on facebook, on youtube etc, rather than a typed message you have a recorded spoken message. Do you think this would be a good thing? how would this change the dynamics of online comments? I think this would be interesting to actually 'talk' in a forum, and in turn hear the other commenters talk.

that would be interesting, but I think talking works better in real-time

also, I don't really consider the written word to be inferior to the spoken word. A lot of humor is better delivered in the form of writing

You'd sound far more intelligent than you usually do, since you can reconsider sentences and they're written in a manner which isn't supposed to be spoken. Think telling a story vs. an audiobook.

Well....it would certainly do away with the need for writing /sarcasm and the like. Though anonymity makes a depressingly large number of people complete tossers, and having to read their bile is bad enough. If I actually had to hear the things that idiots say about, for example, my beloved LSU Tigers, I'd go postal (how do these f'ing idiots say LSU 'has no offense' when they've scored 40 points against 4 ranked opponents?) Oh my, I've caught myself in a rant...

Maybe, if there was an actual conversation going on and there was a limit to how many people could voice in on a conversation. If there are too many, it's more trouble than it's worth. If there's too little, there little reason to have it done. So, that's probably why that hasn't occurred around here yet.

Honestly, it would annoy the living daylights out of me. I read a lot faster than most people talk, so it'd just slow down the process of looking at threads and replying.

I also read faster than I can listen. Don't ask me how that works.

The thing is, all the idiots you see out there typing like they're either children or just lazy, very often they're just normal people (and kids) behind the screens. Some kind of voice commentary would cut out some of the "Wow, this person is an idiot" thoughts I have.

This wouldn't always work, obviously. Just look at Chris Cocker. Or however you spell that.
