Title says it all. Go!

EDIT: Say nice things. Make ideas/suggestions that would work using the EA-style marketing and DLC.

I'm going to cover the basics just to force anyone else who posts here to be more imaginative.

- It would be rebooted as an FPS.

- It would include online multiplayer deathmatch mode that would require an online pass.

- There would be day-one DLC pokemon. $10 each.

- There would be microtransactions for rare candies and the better kinds of balls. (Do the pokemon games still use those? I haven't played one since the original red-blue-yellow.)

- The developers would be shut down shortly after release.

I might actually like this, buying certain Pokemon like Mew, since they are unobtainable now anyway :)

Pokemon! Gotta buy them all!

You get given your first starter and some potions, then you have to pay EA for DLC pokeballs.

Standard Pokecenters only heal 75% of your Pokemon's health. Subscribe to the premium service to gain access to the Member's Pokecenter that heals your Pokemon to 110% health!

Pay to play but you also gotta pay to win! EA wins every battle!

Throw in perfect IVs and zero EVs and I'm in.

Being realistic, the National Pokedex would be DLC. Also I bet it would actually be turned into an FPS, which is sad.

Ash (or rather, the protagonist), is now a thirty something year old space marine that is built like a brick wall with biceps

Pokemon are aliens, captured, genetically modified and forced to breed. They are implanted with a control chip, allowing humans to take control of them, forcing them to fight their wars for them. Attacks accurately physically effect you and your opponents, so blood and gore fly everywhere. Battles are a fight to the death. Optional co-op shoe-horned in. Multiplayer is deathmatches and free-for-all.

Wasn't there already a thread like this? Except it wasn't specifically about Pokemon?

Pokemon, You're mom'll Hate it!

Marketing would consist of viral posters of several half-naked supermodels dressed up vaguely as several prominent Pokemon, with the tagline "You'll never have me" or "I'll never choose you" etc.
They organise a competition to win 1 of 10 poodle puppy that has been dyed and shaved to look like Growlithes, and each pre-order comes with a limited edition Pikachu $5 gambling chip acceptable in any Las Vegas casino, to tie in with the idea of collecting or some crap.

At this point DRM and DLC are kind of a given.

As the OP, I declare that you are the winner of this thread. Also if they sold perfectly bred pokemon as DLC, I'd buy it in a damn heartbeat. More like keys. You go to the store, and a menu opens up. There would be a table. Similar to this. You could make your pokemon, use a key and and your pokemon will be waiting for you at the nearest pokecenter.

I'm derailing this thread about how it could actually work. Say nice things that'll come out of it!

The first 50 are catch-able but you have to pay to download the other 100. Btw you can encounter these other pokemon in tall grass but they are uncatch-able until you pay. Pay $20 to release legendary pokemon into the wild for a day while you try to catch them. Pay $40 to unlock elite four mode. Master balls $15 dollars a piece.

And my personnel favorite buy the game from the store then bring it home and register it online and purchase the game key ($11) before you can play it! Awesome!!!

Also $30 for arbitrary fees+$20 for miscellaneous fees.
