So I had this idea like I wrote in the title.
What would happened if a user decided to get the ideas of Videogames base cards from other users and created a game like the Magic the Gathering?

First of, get sued by Wizards of the Coast of course, but lets say we lived in the world which the copyright is unknown to this world, then what?

Just to be clear, no, I don't want to go a site and make your own MTG card with numbers, costs, etc.
We want something simple like this:

Name: Bullet Eater
From: Ikaruga
Type: Enchantment
Effect: Select a friendly unit, then select two enemy units. The range attacks of these selected enemies unit can't damage your unit.

I don't want something detailed card or anything or even follow the rules of a MTG game. Just the core idea.

The whole point of this Thread is to see how "broken" the game will be by our collective effort creating any kind of cards for the game. Fun, fun fun.

And because I really want to see your ideas as well, I will select a random user and I will give to him/her a Shadow Warrior Steam Key, just for the heck of it. Cool game btw.

Cheers:

Card List:
001.
Name: Bullet Eater
From: Ikaruga
Type: Enchantment
Effect: Effect: Select a friendly unit, then select two enemy units. The range attacks of these selected enemy units can't damage your unit.

The general idea of a collectable card game is not copyrightable. It did get a patent, but the game has been around since 1993 iirc so I'm pretty sure their patent has either expired or will expire soon enough that waiting it out wouldn't be a big problem.

Well, we'd have to have a sub-section of the game that only, like, 6 people use, which does nothing but aggravate both themselves and their opponent, and makes it so the player can't win the game. (An opponent not using the mechanic is free to win by normal means)

Name: Kross
Type: Instant
Effect: Break all enchantments in play. Player discards two cards at random, all opponents discard one card at random.
Alt Effect: Cancel/Dispel last card played by opponent. Player draws one card, opponent who had their card Cancelled draws two cards.

Or put in enough spells so that Egg and Storm decks (the most disrespectful decks I've ever seen in a TCG) are common.

Name: Bane of the Try-Hard
Type: Instant
Effect: All opponents search their hands, deck, graveyard, field and exile stack for cards worth $1 or more. Remove them from the game. If more than 30 cards are removed this way, your opponents loses the game.

Seriously though, if your going to win in two to five turns, make the last turn quick, instead of taking longer than the rest of the match combine.
