I've been thinking of how American history or even World history would be affected by JFK remaining president. How would the situation played out with the Russians? What about the line of presidents? Reagen had a big affect on the US. How about Nixon? Vietnam? Desert Storm? Iraq? Would I have even been born? My mom was born in the mid-60s and I was born in '88. That's a lot of time for different variables to affect the flow of things. It's mind-boggling to think that one single event could could have such an effect.

Plus think of all the chicks he would have banged. He was one of the highest profile macks of the 20th century. He could have totaled in the thousands. And everyone knew what he was doing but nobody care. Quite unlike the present. Case-in-point: John Edwards and Elliot Spitzer.

When I saw the topic, I was expecting a bit more to the OP, but yet I do know what you mean. Like I feel Vietnam wouldn't have escalated to what it became. But yet like G. Alarimm had said I agree to a point. But certain laws and enactments have to hit its last phase before a President can choose to ignore them or re-instate them.

Like the Brady bill, it went away because there was no choice made to continue the bill.

He was a charismatic incompetent populist. Americans love charisma over anything else.
