I love how everyone assumes he means world of warcraft... I guess traditional CRPGS would get the lime light again.
Gamers would play more LAN again I guess?
I have no proper idea yet as I gave up trying to predict the behaviour of more than 5 people.
But overall I would just say that (if they would be like me, a gamer at heart) just find another game to play. I actually got a PS2 since I quit with WoW and since then had a good few hours of fun and still haven't finished half the games.

Anywyas i would be sad because MMOs almost got past their grindy crap selves. If a MMO developer just made a simple persistant world shooter or zombie game or even driving game it would sell and i would buy it. But yeah the recession would end we'd be happy not to look and all those crappy ads everywhere.
Normally i do not have all that much time for MMO with actually meeting people. I dont think that it would be all that much of a problem but I would be annoyed that some of my free time was wasted on characters that are gone.
Personally I would cry my eyes out laughing. On the other hand, strange people I don't really want to see anymore will return from their state of living death.
