What if most internet users were female?

My question to the forum is what would the internet be like if the majority of heavy users were female?
*For the purpose of this exercise facebook is not being counted*
Some points to consider:
Would the escapist be different, exist?
Would more of a certian type of site exist and less of another?
Would the internet be more respectful, or would the maturity level not change?
What would Xbox live be like? (Xbox live is internet use)
Would you prefer the net to be the way you think it would with a majority female presence?
EDIT: This does not presuppose stereotypes, women and men are different and as of such one would expect the internet to be different as well.
EDIT: I will admit as a male I have always expected most users to be male due to the sites I frequent.

I think with a majority presence of females the internet would be different but not radically so. There would be less porn most likely, youtube would have more a mature user base (less toilet humor), and Xbox live would be much less popular.

The obvious answer is that there would be a lot less porn, like maybe .1% of what there is right now. Then, I imagine if the majority of internet users were female, then the majority of gamers would be female, therefore the Escapist would change very little, with the exception of maybe ZP, as its pretty vulgar and is popular as it appeals to adolescent boys (or at least the adolescent boy in all of us).

There'd be a lot less porn, and there might be a bit of a shift in what kind of sites are popular, but on the whole, I don't know how much difference it'd really make.

For a site like the escapist, it might have had an impact on what kind of video content there was, but then again, it might just have made the site less popular overall, without really changing it's demographics much.

... Really, a question like this presupposes a lot of stereotypical behaviour.
And who wants to think in stereotypes? ;p

If the majority of gaming-forum users were female, and it was a 19:1 split like it is male-to-female on most video game and nerd culture sites...

would the girls relentlessly hit on "zomg a GUY on here?" when an even halfway good-looking dude showed up?

We don't really have that problem on the Escapist---for the most part gender doesn't matter in conversation---but on a site like GameFAQs or IGN I imagine it'd be horrible.

I bet some sites like Omegle Video and such would be a lot more fun for males.

Also, porn would decrease very slightly. Girls look up porn just as much as guys, sometimes even weirder stuff than we do, but only a little bit less than we do. Though I'd be more concerned with what kind of porn they'd be looking up. "Implications... unpleasant."

4chan might be a completely different place. "Dick of GTFO" (like a poster above stated), "newlesbo", and etc.

Oh, and probably a lot more respectable websites and more though-out arguments. Trolls would be fewer but more sly and witty, probably.

I have exceptional handwriting skills and I'm male. I just tend to write very small unless I make an effort otherwise and the average height of a capital letter (for example) is roughly 2/3 the height of a single line of college rule paper.

It would probably be mostly the same, because women and men aren't really that different. Except the level of porn would be much lower, and there'd be much less yuri and much more yaoi...
