Impossible. The mod community will fix any problems that it has. If you own it for console, well, that sucks for you.
Remember. This statement means believing that the best way to beat Bethesda's paid and highly trained design team is to use a ragtag community of unpaid amateurs.
That isn't how I look at it. I look at it as a group of highly passionate and surprisingly skilled people doing all they can to make something they love even better. I am always impressed by what fan communities are able to do, despite their own limitations. I don't think it says anything negative about the actual development team, or the people involved.
That's not how you phrased it.
Sorry for not being clear. No matter what Bethesda does with it, it won't please everyone. The mods are just icing on the cake.
Which is a cogent argument for subjective details like "I don't like having to grind Athletics so I can run all the time" but completely missing the point for details like "Oh shit. The game crashed. Again."

"Bethesda, my game crashed, again, and it's because your game's texture mapping is clearly fucked up."
"Well there's just no pleasing some people!"

Not gonna buy it anyways; so this doesn't affect me.

But yeah, get Saints Row 3 or Halo Anniversary instead. Those will definitely not suck.
For the purposes of the argument, What if those both sucked too?

A DOUBTING THOMAS I SEE! AND WHAT HE SPOUTS IS HERESY!

A POX ON THE UNBELIEVER!

No, seriously, though, considering quality is entirely subjective I find it highly unlikely that I won't enjoy it. I just want a big open world where I can be a sneaky archer thief and run through the woods at night and let my imagination run free. Considering what's already been seen and confirmed, it's not even a possibility that they can screw that up.

I mean, I even forgave them for removing acrobatics and for not being able to increase your running speed. I thought I'd never forgive them for that, but here we are.

I?ll save up and buy a garraf and then sacrifice it on EA?s front lawn while chanting this is your fault. Yeah I realize this is a Bethesda game being published by Bethesda Softworks with no help from EA. But EA has me ticked right now and I think they are to blame for most things wrong in gaming? :)

I'll also pinch myself. I mean I'm either dreaming or in an alternative universe cause from what I can see in this world, Skyrim going to be just short of orgasmically good.

I've owned all of their games on PC and I have never had one of them crash on me until I had 200-300 mods for it and then it was my own fault. I never even had any crashes in New Vegas, which I guess was notorious for it. Sorry you haven't had any luck.

God lord I hope not. In the very unlikely case that it does suck, I'll probably cry in my room for half a year, lamenting what could have been. *snickers*

i wouldn't be surprised, the only cool thing i have seen in the trailers are the dragons.
I Take it you're not a Bethesda Fan?
actually i love Fallout 3 and New Vegas. its just games that use magic and have elves and mages and stuff like just really grind my gears.

To each his own I guess?. I love fantasy as a setting. In fact think I'm going to go off and play morrowind. On the bright side however if you're not so much into The Elder Scrolls, you can view it as a demo for how the next fallout will run. Except with improvements made of course.

In my opinion, the worst possible case scenario is that Skyrim is about as good as Oblivion. That is to say, good by the general standard of RPGs, but shit compared to Morrowind.

And, you know what, even if it ends up like that I'll be satisfied. Sad, but satisfied.

I would smirk, chuckle lightly, take a small sip of my whisky and say

"I told you so...".

I'd return it to focus more on Gears 3, Modern Warfare 3, Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Halo Anniversary, and Saints Row 3... I think you get the point. I won't lose any sleep over it. I'll have too many other games to keep up with to worry. It'd probably feel like a lifted burden more than anything, ha ha.

But yes, I will be sad if it is.
