Actually the description for anti-hero is a lot more general, it is literally any protagonist that is not "heroic," so like, an idiotic asshole like Peter Griffin is also an antihero.Desert Punk said:The description of that video was kinda shite.
He is an antihero even if they want to label him a terrorist..
So he is killing badguys instead of arresting them. Whoopdy do, so does Deadpool. In literature, an antihero (or antiheroine as the female) is a protagonist who has no heroic virtues or qualities (such as being morally good, idealistic, courageous, noble, and possessing fortitude), blurring the line between hero and villain.
I was just thinking that. To be clear, in that thread I wasn't advocating superheroes to kill at will, only to have it as an option, rather than eschewing it arbitrarily. This guy seems to kill whomever he wants, whenever he wants, which is something else entirely.Gatx said:I don't think it's necessarily that the superhero is "psychotic" just because he goes around killing criminals instead of arresting him, but it's interesting that that's the conclusion that people would jump to if they do that as opposed to following their traditional "one rule." Incidentally this makes an interesting response to that thread about the one rule being bullshit we had.
