I'd keep working :) Not so much because I'd get bored, but because even though I already love my job I would love it even more if I was working because I wanted to instead of for the money (and there are probably a lot of people who feel that way). The other reason is because if I had that much free time I'd just waste it anyway. I take a week of annual leave twice a year, and in the month leading up to it I think of all the things I want to do during that week, and then during that week I don't do any of them :p

Sounds pretty good. I'd have a lot more time and energy for volunteer work. Or, since I'd no longer have to worry about starving to death on the streets, I'd be a lot more comfortable about starting a business. An easygoing little cafe, maybe, with a stage for live music and drinks at night. That'd be fun.

Being unemployed myself, I can say this; When I was younger I always had a dream of never having to go to school or work ever, and just play games all day long. And after I finished school, the first few weeks were incredible. Decent welfare money in combination with living with parents gives me lotsa money for games and other hobbies. But after the first few months it get really boring. You feel like you dont have a purpose in life, and every day is pretty much exactly the same. I think you need a job, so that when you get home you can pat yourself on the back and say "I did good today" and relax with your new game.

I know I would definitely be bored. I have a job right now that has some awesome perks, including considerable amounts of time off (fully paid, too). When I get my 3 week Christmas or summer break, I start to go stir-crazy near the end. I'll be looking forward to getting back to work so that my life has a purpose again.

Have time off is awesome. Having too much time off is not all that it's cracked up to be.

I have that! And thanks to my friends moving away/going to college, I now truely understand what it's like to be secluded from human contact... (bangs head on desk) I'm sooo lonely.

I wouldn't want to be unemployed, even with an 'infinite' wealth. My job is extremely challenging, rewarding, keeps me fit and active, takes me around the world and I constantly learning. At the end of the day, I may not have the time I'd prefer to play my games, but at least I have them and can enjoy them.

However if I must be without work, I'd play more games. Duh :)
