You received $1,000,000 from an anonymous source as a gift no questions or favors asked, would you spend it, would you give it away, put it away, burn it, what ever you wanted to do with that money.

Explain what you would do with all of that money. And be realistic

I myself would put it all in a 5 different bank accounts all for different reasons

1. Spending- on "wants" not needs like a nice car
2. Emergency-(just in case my things were stolen or destroyed)
3. Family- if my closest relatives needed support
4. Bills- self explained
5. Future- in case I raise a family

And I was asked this question by my wealthy Grandfather through the phone out of random
but i couldn't answer that question right away but it took 2 days and now I'm giving the question to you.

I'd probably take care of the student loan debts I've incurred so far. I'd also buy a new laptop & buy a new car as well as finally getting that ring for my girlfriend.

I'd probably put the rest into savings for the next year or so and let it build interest.

Id tithe off of it first.
Then id separate it into a Savings account for things like College.
And then the rest id spend.

I'd spend it all on video games and Magic the Gathering cards. Maybe some music and books as well but thats it.

- Pay for my college education first
- Save the rest for my "causing complete and total chaos throughout the world" fund
- Then use the rest to stock up on Arnold Palmers (Lemonade and Tea mixed together)

Repay my parents for a whole whack of things!

Buy some sick headphones (Holy Sennheiser Flagship HD800 batman!)

Vastly increase my collection of awesome retro video games!

Go skiing somewhere awesome!

Spontaneously buy my friends gifts!

Buy a play-set of every decent MTG card ever printed!

(Try to apologize to my ex with money!?)

Hide it as soon as I got my hands on it.
Then slowly spend it without tax reduction.

And ofcourse I'd travel the world, because you only get one good shot at that.

I would be insanely relaxed.

I would go see my boyfriend, that'd probably be the first thing I'd do. Then I would... I guess, save it, see what I need it for, and try to not waste it all at the same time.

Pay all the expenses I owe to a certain organisation, then distribute the wealth among my family and friends.
Said organisation doesn't mind that I owe them, and can wait patiently for decades, taking little bits of money to pay what is owed originally, and no more than that. No stupid interest on what is owed.
So, at most, that would be, perhaps, £30,000-40,000.
That leaves £960,000-970,000. Or, in dollars, $951784.45-935716.
To be used to help those I care about.

Pay my boyfriend's student loan, as well as my own, and then get him some pretty nice Christmas presents. After that, I think I would ask him to take care of it for me, as he is more organized than me by far.

Pay off my house, my brother's house, and my parents' debt... fix up my house... build the car I've always wanted to build in my new garage (it's about $55,000 for the parts I want, plus any custom machining I'll need when it doesn't all fit together properly)... and put the rest in bank accounts with different banks (up to maximum FDIC protection in each). Then I'd go about my business as usual, but with financial security and peace of mind.
...and then I'd pay my $300,000 or so in income tax for the year.

I'd put it all in a bank, wait till I'm 21 and take it (with the added interest) and buy a yaught,a butler, some armed guards, kidnap Scarlett johansen, sail out to internatinol waters and PARTY!...and then I'd invest the rest into businesses and make profit and just relax on my party-boat for life. And grow a beard...yeah...

First thing is to pay off my student loan and move out of my parent house. I will move into a city of my choosing and live in a affordable flat (not to expensive but is near to the city).
I will buy a lot of things to fill in the flat (like T.V, console etc) but it will not buy it just cos its expensive (I will look out for sales and offers).
I keep the money to myself to live out as a rich millinaire but I will give some to my parent and my bro and some to the relatives if they need it.
I would probably put some small investment to my best friend business founding as well.

Erm.... I honestly can't think of anything I need alot of money for at the moment. I suppose the first thing I would do is buy the best gaming PC possible. Then put surround sound in my room. Also a huge TV, with games consoles.

Well I'd pretty much make the ultimate geek-man den. Have Guitar Hero guitars on the walls, get Mario wallpaper, a deep fat fryer (just because), mini bar, comfy PC chair, cable TV, the fastest internet I can buy, wood burning stove (for that classy feel) and obviously make a bigger room to fit it all in.

Oh and plenty of Nurf guns in case someone tries to break in.

Not enough to get me a Veyron, let alone the supersport, and the McLaren F1's prices are skyhigh at the moment, so I'm out of luck there too. Meaning I'd have to do what every sensible person would.

Buy a pack of smokes, a couple of bottles of Jager and get drunk, and everything I have in the morning I'll prolly spend on curing a headache.

Once I'm alive and well, I'd open a smalltime casino, which would change poor people with hope into poor people with a gambling addiction, and rich people with a gambling addiction into poor people with hope.
Everything that's left over would allow me to buy a 1975 Porsche 911.930 turbo, ship it to Japan, modify it at Rauh Welt Begriff and ship it back to me.

Result is - I have a profitable business with potential to grow, and a car that doesn't scream status, yet is very sexy. Can I have my mil now?

I'd put it into a savings account and let it gather interest until I have enough to build my ultimate tree house.

And I'd get a Savannah cat. Those things are huuuge.
