What in your opinion is the best looking shooter on the consoles?

I like the Gears of War look myself. Sure, it's generally grey and bland, but I just like how everything seems to look manly and Gears-of-Warsy. If that makes sense...

Honorable mention to Team Fortress 2. Again, looksTF2y. And translates extremely well into animated shorts.

For FPS at the moment it would probably be either Killzone 3 or Battlefield 3, but since only the Battlefield 3 beta is out right now, it's difficult to judge whether the actual game will look better, and be less glitchy.

For TPS it's Uncharted 2 hands down, at least until Uncharted 3 comes out.

The best FPS I would say is Killzone 2 (But I assume Killzone 3 is better looking). But if you mean all kinds of shooters I would say Uncharted 2.

EDIT: Crysis came out on consoles recently, so I would actually say that. Or Crysis 2, which ever looks better, but I don't really know.

All the blood, the over-the-top weapons, the blood, the concluding story line, the blood, the challeging AI, the blood, Beast and Horde mode, and the mutators. Oh and did I mention the blood?

Killzone 3, Rage, Gears of War 3, Uncharted 2 and 3, Id go with one of those.

In my experience, for first person shooters it's Crysis 2, and for third person shooters it's Dead Space 2. Those are, of course, taking into account what they've done with the aesthetics and art direction as well as the graphics quality. Both those games are simply gorgeous, and that's in no small part due to the fact that they actually employ real colour as part of their visual design.

I'm enjoying the look of Reach, but by comparison to Killzone 2, its graphics are muddy in texture.

Killzone 2 is, with no close rival (haven't played 3), the best looking console FPS I've seen. It is also, compared to lesser great looking FPS games like Resistance 2 and Reach, kinda dull so far. Couple of guns and that's about it.
