What in your opinion makes a good teacher?

My history teacher used to read us dirty jokes from his phone XD
I personally love the funny-but-no-nonesense ones. (If that makes any sense)
Like my English teacher, we'd have a laugh every lesson but we'd all do work and get on with it.
Or maybe it's just because I love English. :3

Have a good sense of humor! Teachers with a good sense of humor are more approachable, in my experience-- and the last thing you want to do is have a class full of intimidated students.

I'm not sure if this has been said: passion. If you are passionate about your subject then the students will pick up on it.
I have a funny Welsh science teacher too. He's quite blunt but hilarious!
